Hi girls, thank you all for the very warm welcome!

First a quick apology for not replying sooner. We've had Internet connection hassles and when I have been able to access the forum I've been lurking, exploring and getting to know the place a bit better.

She's a wonderful person - says I was "very brave" to tell her. I didn't feel brave or scared to tell her, more excited. It was like "Wow, honey, you've got to see what I've just found out about myself"!

I don't think I'm ready to be a role model! I feel far too much a newbie, to the forum and to CDing.

Thanks for that fascinating link, I can see a lot of myself in there. It's bookmarked now for future reference.

There is a section for SOs, so please ask her to come here to gain insight.
Supporting, accepting, helping - last weekend she treated me to a make-up lesson, then a clothes shopping trip (I went male). We had a great day out!

She has lurked here a little. I don't know if she'll ever post here - she doesn't seem entirely comfortable with Internet discussion forums, whatever the subject.

That's definitely on my To Do list, but I want to post in the Your Beginnings section first!

I hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it but I think you're right - I am positive. It just seems a very positive thing all round - I feel happier, comfortable, more calm. My SO says I seem a bit "softer" which is a good way of describing it.

"Relaxed"? I'm feeling positively chilled-out this morning - first day of a week's holiday!

Ok, time to try to paste this into the reply box. Fingers crossed!

See you soon,

Mandy

Hi Mandy,

Welcome to the Forum. Congratulations also on telling your SO.

I read the same book, and lent it to my GF. She enjoyed reading it too and we both found it helpful.

I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.
