Even knowing Virginia's background, this is the LAST place I ever expected to have an aviation discussion.
CJ, that is the rarest of the rare: a photo of the only ever purpose-built two-seat Crusader, the TF-8, aka the "Two-sader".

Hi all,
I'll admit that my experience with fighters is limited to my building a model of a Phantom Blue Angel when I was a kid.

I have no experience whatsoever with the military other than serving the guys doner sandwiches in a restaurant just off the naval base in Victoria, back in the late 80's. The young ones were okay, sort of always out to party. It's the Special Forces guys that sometimes gave me the creeps; they were men of few words... and large knuckles. One (an officer, I think) once told me, for no reason other than he felt like it, that my ponytail and earring (I had only one pierced ear at the time) made me a shoo-in for "roadkill of the year"--all he needed to do, he said, was to reach out and grab my "sissy hair" and earring and I'd be down for the count. I couldn't tell if he was being serious or not, but I told him he was absolutely right... and that he had no interest in doing so, seeing as I made the best pita sandwich in town. He burst out laughing.
My step-brother has spent his entire adult life in the military but he and I don't really have a relationship so I don't know what his experience in the military did or does for him. I know that, following his multiple tours of Ethiopia, the Balkans, and Afghanistan, he suffers from PTSD.
All this to say that I can't contribute intelligently to this thread because I don't know anyone here, "in the flesh," who's both a crossdresser and in the military. I'll admit that my longstanding pacifism has led to a dearth of relationships with military folks in my life. Perhaps this my loss.
Love,
CJ

Ah the memories!!!! Thanks! I happened to like the F-8, for its time is was a good aircraft, but how do you compare that "anique" to the F-22 Raptor. A totally different universe!
As we use to say,"eternally vigilent or forever rest!"
Thanks again, "for the memories!"
OH and those satin sheets, very slippery! but worth the trip!

Hi, Virginia!
I'm so glad to see your smiling face again - you are missed at the forum!! I was starting to wonder if your SO would ever let you come up for air or see the light of day!
Glad to know you're okay even if you *are* otherwise occupied!!
