Played the non ice version of hockey one of the few sports I was any good at, got plenty of bruses from sly and not so sly whacks on my legs and hands.

Last time I was on the ice i'd only just sused out the whole balance not falling on your backside thing, holding a stick would just complicate things too much for me.

Golf and Gymanstics . Excelled on the Parallel Bars and High Bars. This was in the early 60's. Still play golf and enjoy the heck out of it. Gymnastics , I gave up after college.

I played baseball, football basketball as a kid and enjoyed wrestling. I was never good enough for any organized teams but we would play all day in the street in front of our house when the weather was okay or not even okay. I really enjoyed it although the occaisional abuse from not being very good took it's toll.

After college I pretty much lost interest in team sports but did a lot of running and biking for a long time. Also lots of hiking for a very long time.

Great game last night.... even though I had a back ache from laying tile all weekend.... Played a coworkers team and we went down 0-2 in the first period.. Then 1-2 in the second. Both goalies played great games... Then in the middle of the third period I deflected a shot from the point, just past the goalies pad for the final and tying goal... Since it was an early game there was no overtime..... so we each get a point!!! Yeahhhh... I'm on a record scoreing pace of 3 goals in 4 games.. well a record for me!! hehe..

Hi Karren,

I don't play sports although I religiously go to a gym and work out on cardio and weights. Just recently I decided to switch from heavier weights to much lighter and more reps, trying to get away from bulk and go for tone.

I used to play roller hockey, but hurt my shoulder a few years back. Took me almost 2 years for my shoulder to feel 100%. I was 48 then and gave up on roller hockey. I had all the gear and of any sport I loved, that was by far the best.

In the summer I exercise and swim in the pool in the back yard.
I have yet to take a shower at the gym, just throw on some pants over my shorts and a dry shirt then go home.

I too am completely shaven and I am apprehensive of taking a shower in front of other men, afraid of the reaction. I come home and shower.
Huggs,

Carla

Hi Karen--
There's still team sports going on, but I sure don't have time for them. It was fun to be on a music business softball team years ago, but we never practiced, and got beat like a drum. We played for TOA, a manufacturer. At that time Journey was a hot band, and they had a team in our league.
But no band members played us, so that was a disappointment.

Now I just rely on whacking away at a floor nailer to keep in shape. It isn't enough, really--I've got to start walking the neighborhood again on a daily basis.
