flat to fem male breast enlargement?

Post by Lily Merigold »

I had seen an ad for this book. Apparently it uses herbs to simulate the puberty of a young girl and help men grow breasts. Anyway I was wondering if anyone had tried it and/or their opinions on it. I really want to try it but I am worried about what will happen at future jobs and if it's safe. I am still in the age where it supposedly has a lot of effect. So it would be nice to try it out but... Ya Just any experiences on this system?

Lily,

I think I read that you are 19 years old in your introduction. Having that in mind, my advice is this. First, you must determine to what extent you wish to take this aspect of yourself. Do you want to simply be a man that crossdresses, or do you have a desire to live as a woman (No SRS), or do you desire to transition completely (i.e. do you identify as a transsexual [TS])? These are very important in the decision to whether or not you begin some form of HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), and if you choose that, you should seek out an endocrynologist who can carefully monitor your progress and ensure that you are receiving the right balance of hormones to suit your needs.

If none of these appeal to you, my suggestion is to get yourself a good set of breast forms and continue doing as you are doing now. Dressing up when you desire doing so. ;)

I love dressing up. And I would love to be a woman. I just have doubts on reassignment surgery. It even goes as far as sexual urges. I don't find men or women sexy unless I picture myself as a woman as well.

Kandis's remarks are right to the point. Most of the over the counter stuff will not do much except empty your wallet. Hormones are not really something that you should "fool around with". One can really mess up their body in short order. If you have explored your inner self with professional help to know that moving toward SRT and 24/7 change to womanhood, then you can get medically supervised hormone treatments. Please find out where your at! We'll be here to help as much as we can.

Oh Lily, don't waste your money on those things. First, they are made in strengths that couldn't help you with any breast growth or they could not be sold over the counter as supplements. Second, they are made by many different herbalist people who's primary goal is to get you to order lots of them from them, and the strength of each batch even varies widely as there are no standards. Third, the quantities that would be required just to soften your skin, would likely be enough to make you very ill and cause permanent debilitation in some cases. Many claims have been made for many different substances, but NONE have been shown to develop breast tissue.

If you would like an example of how much some people have taken and little effect they have had, take a look at a journalist's excursion into appearing as a TS woman in "The New Girl", by Mike Reynolds (available through Amazon books). He took large amounts of black Cohosh, somewhat under a doctor's supervision for over a year, and got some skin softening and MAYBE some flab on the chest, but that was probably due to the weight gain.

Leave those empty promises alone, and put your money into exploring who you are and what you want to do with a good therapist. Fantasy and reality are two different things.

HI Lily,

You will find folks here that are not only experts in dealing with "the gift" but also have the experience and the "been there done that," to know.

I will simply add to what my sisters have said, DO NOT rub anything on or put anything in your body before you establish just who Lily is and what she means to you! That can take time. If in fact you do reach the understanding that transistioning is something that you must do, there are legal procedures that must also be followed.

Take your time, share your feelings with us or any friends that you feel are understanding to your situation, don't rush into anything, just enjoy the ride, it can be a most beautiful experience!

Thank you for all your advice. I wasn't planning on doing it soon. It was just something I was looking at for a future possibility. Maybe a year or 3 down the road. After an extensive look at my life and how I feel about it. It just looked like a good (and much cheaper) alternative to taking hormone pills.

Just because it's herbal doesn't mean it's safe. If it's strong enough to be effective it's strong enough to cause serious problems.

Sex change on the cheap is probably as bad an idea as it sounds.

Aside from that, the suggestions about figuring out who and what you are are right on the money. You can always do this later. Remember also that gender and sex, or sexual orientation, although related, are different things.

There's lots of good stuff to read out there. Kate Bornstein, Diedre McKlosky, and Max Wolf are some of my favorites. Check them out.

You have been given excellent advice about finding out exactly who you want to be. If you decide at some point that Lily is who you really want to be, then pharmaceutical hormones under a doctor's supervision will end up being cheaper and far safer than herbal supplements of unknown strength/origin. Take your time and find out what course you truly want to follow in life, hormones and all the other changes can be done once the decision making process is complete.

Lily, i'm not seeing the word therapist in here.... if you were my child (whom i love with all my heart) i would beg you to see a therapist to help you get some clarity in the direction you want to take, just someone you can safely talk with eye to eye and ponder your needs for a happy life. i've done it a few times in my life and it's all the better for it.
