How it started for me

Post by Kathy W »

Well, I got my start (like a lot of you probably) with my mom's clothes. I am an only child, so no sisters to borrow from. The first time I ever tried on anything of hers, I was 12. My parents went out of town for a couple days, leaving me alone for two whole nights (first time they left me alone, I believe). Well, I was watching a movie, no clue what it was, but some woman was being chased by a couple guys, and she was running in heels. That got me a little curious as to how hard it actually would be to walk, let alone run, in high heels. So at first, I tried running on my tip toes, which wasn't working so well. So I went into my parents room, and got a pair of my mom's heels out. They were black pumps with a 4" heel.
Well, I knew my mom only wore them with pantyhose, so I figured the pantyhose would somehow make them easier to wear (besides, the woman in the movie was wearing hose too). Well, as I was digging through her droor, I came across her panties as well, so I figured I might as well go all out, just to help with the experiment. And I knew I had the whole house to myself.
So, on went the panties, the pantyhose, and the heels. And the only way I know to describe that feeling was it just felt right. Put my jeans back on over the panties and hose, and wore all that all night. Wore the heels most of the next day too.
Ever since then, I've been hooked. And I especially love the high heels, which I now have 3 pairs of my own. Almost got caught a couple times through the years, but I've loved every minute of it.

I often wonder about the "it just felt right" I often have that same feeling even today. I guess for some people it is about the clothes being right for their percieved gender. In my case it is more like seeing an old friend, or sitting by the fire on a cold night, or a number of other things.

Unfortunately there have been a number of things over the years that just felt right that turned out to be as wrong as they could possibly be. I don't count clothing choices among them. But it lets me know I need to examine this in other ways than how it feels. Even though at the end of the day, I still do this because it still does just feel right.

I also often wonder if that whole feeling is just a bunch of endorphins. We think of them as being released by exercise and excitement but they get released by meditation as well. Cross dressing as meditation???????? I kind of like that idea, it strikes a chord somewhere in me.

I like that too.

You know, I use to go into the mountains a lot during my youth, just to be alone and think. I liked the quiet solitude.
