I am thinking about using a little makeup

I am seriously thinking of using a little make-up and would appreciate advice on this. Friends have suggested, a light lip-stick eye-shadow & nails.

I know department stores here will try it out on you. do they do it for men who are not en-femme

Yes, department stores will do a makeover on anyone, en femme or not.

Yes, but be prepared to buy from them.

Some just want to test the waters and after getting a look they like, decide to go to Boots for the cheaper prices. Which is well and good. But buying a little something, like lipstick, will keep relations at a nice level.

Not all "Ladies" use make=up my SO doesn't

Have you tried it in Dept. stores in UK Whcih?

I have not tried a make-over, but I am sure any department store will do a make over as long as you have the money! I believe, that many men, use a wide range of make-up and products, maybe not a No. 7 lip stick (!), on a day to day basis, so sores may be quite use to men. Let us know how you get on

Although I'm not really much good at applying it, wearing makeup meant a significant improvement and deepening of my dressing up experience. I know I've seen cheap kits full of all sorts of different shades of eyeshadow, lipstick, blush and nail varnish (£9.99) at various TKMax's in London (a clothes remainder store chain) - and have bought one. I don't know if you have a store like that in you area, but it might prove an alternative to going into a department store. I mean loads of stuff for you to try at home on the cheap before you make any further decisons.

The quality isn't going to be great but not so bad it's unusable either. The thing I've got has got has 4 each of lipstick, blush, nail varnish, 12 eyeshadows plus little brushes etc..

I know John Lewis and Debenhams will and I suspect will all the others. MAC Cosmetics started this ball rolling when they opened here. I have been to all of these so don't be shy. Tell the girls what you want, sit back and enjoy.
