Just heard an add for oprah for tomorrow -- whe is having the "first transgender model" on her show tomorrow. May be interesting!

April Ashley? Tula? Both of them are retired. Which "first" is it?

They used the term "super" model. Maybe that separates some models from other models?

Super model eh? Maybe she wears a Yellow S on her chest?

Or maybe a Yellow T? Might be more approriate, eh? Periodically it seems like the fashion world identifies somebody that is unusual, and then they drop off the stage for one reason or another. April Ashley did acting for a bit, and got outed by the yellow press. Same for Tula, and they blew her impending marriage to a British aristocrat out of proportion and she left England. Now lives in the S.E. US in a more successful marriage.

I was just wondering which darling of the time it was. tonight. There are two currently in the news, and both have been mentioned on the forum, one as an androgyne, and one as a model for a major fashion house.

There was also one who was not a "super" model that Tara Banks helped get her surgery last year, I believe.
