Want to know what pain really is?

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Want to know what pain really is?

Simply forget for a moment about your new acrylic talons you had put on earlier, in such a lovely shade of dark burgundy and then get something in your eye, prompting an immediate "That's got to come out." response.

I'm surprised I didn't put my eye out.

/goes to work on memory exercises...

That gives new meaning to the statement mom's make growing up. At least my mom did.

You could put an eye out with that

Oh girl! That's just too scary. Thank goodness I wear glasses so I can poke them first. Yikes!

yowch!! I feel your pain. Please be careful. Although I must say it is easy to forget you're wearing long nails particularly once you're used to and comfortable with them.

I used to have a habit of drumming my fingers when I would stare at computer code. I had to stop that after getting acrylic nails. First time I drummed my fingers, it sounded like I was drumming a drum. LOL It was so loud that people across the room was looking in my direction.

From my early years, I used to bite my fingernails down to nubs. It was a bad habit I continued until I came out to my SO. Then I made a concerted effort to stop and have been quite successful. Therein lies the rub... now that I have nails, I have to be careful rubbing my eyes or scratching an itch, etc. Where once I had only soft pads of my fingertips, I could use some pressure to scratch. The same amount of pressure now, with nails, leaves marks or infilicts a surprising amount of pain. So, in a sense, I've experienced the same thing as Michelle has.

Hey Michelle, Eye feel your pain! 8)

Hugs,
Kyra
