Never Been Keen on Stockings

I have never got into wearing stockings, I always preferred tights. I like the comfy feel from a nice pair of tights, I think I would be afraid of laddering stockings, its bad enough when I snag a pair of my tights. I remember when stockings were in fashion in the mid seventies and seeing almost as many pairs of stockings in my favourite department stores as tights. Have tried hold up stockings but could not get on with them at all.

I have been a tights girl since the age of 12, so too late to change now. When I was about twenty I used to dream about being a model for Pretty Polly and winning a Miss Lovely legs competion.

Stockings can be quite nice, if one has the legs for them. My thighs are too big and will rub together above the stocking tops.

And stay-ups never did.

But having several pairs of the same brand and color can be useful. Get a run in one, you've plenty of spares.

I grew up in the fiftys and all you had to wear were stockings as PH were not invented yet. I can remember my mon telling me "you have to buy your own stockings as you are not going to put runs in mine :roll" : .

Now me I have been a stocking girl most of my life but do wear stay ups with no problem, don't really like PH but there are times when it is a must.

I prefer stockings actually, but usually wear tights or pantyhose. Tights in particular are more rugged and durable, so one doesn't need to be as careful. Lately I am trying to wear stockings more often, but all the ones I have are rather delicate and I'm worried about ruining them.

much easier to underdress with tights and get away with it. with all the colors and designs they are quite attractive and fun to wear
but i do like the feel of pantyhose and do wear them when i can

Thigh-highs feel great and are the least fussy of any stockings I've had. They stay up nicely, the darker ones make shaving unnecessary, there's no tangle of straps, and they don't envelop me to the waist like pantyhose. And they are so much stronger than hose used to be, and still feel silky.

I know it sounds like a paid ad, but that's jus wot a like!

(On the other hand, I find utilikilts offensive. They detract from any image a man is trying to present, and comes off as semi-wuss - unless worn with panties, hose, and a sheer tshirt. Then it's radical androgyny.)

I like the tight clinginess of tights, pantyhose, and stockings, but prefer pantyhose or stockings for the silky feel of my legs. Stockings are easier to put on than pantyhose. I suppose that's why I wear them so often.

I think it all depends on the outfit and the occasion. There are times when opaque tights are ideal, other times when sheer tights (or pantyhose) are just what is needed, especially for the young ones in miniskirts! on other occasions the sheer sexy "dressiness" of stockings is a must.

I reakky have to agtree with Paula here, both are fun and it depends on the situation and outfit. I would no more t of wearing stockngs with a tight mini skirt as I would pantyhose on a romantic date. Don't get me wrong I have worn pantyhose on dates but not one of those mushy ones. I generally wear panthose as it is more readily available and most of mature ladies understand the issues with stockings and garters.
