Shopping for My Wife

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Shopping for My Wife

Post by Jina James »

The week before Christmas I was shopping for my wife at Dillard's. She wears Women's sizes; more than half of her stuff would fit me if I were to try it on.

I was alone, looking through the racks of clothes, when the clerk approached and asked if she could help me. I told her that I was looking for stuff for my wife. She asked what in particular I was looking for, and I told her I know my wife's style and would know what I wanted when I saw it. I could see from the look on her face that she thought I was shopping for myself.

After about 30 minutes, I had found half a dozen blouses and one jacket that I bought for her for Christmas. The clerk made some small talk about how she could see what a good sense of style my wife had.

After I left, I laughed out loud. I really WAS shopping for my wife. I wasn't even looking for anything for me, and the clerk just assumed I was lying. Even better, after Christmas I told my wife about it. She got quite a good laugh.

Maybe next time. . . .

And so many girls think the lies work.... Maybe they should tell tell the truth and the sales folk will think they are lying.

I was just in my local Famous Footwear shopping with my brat. I was looking through the clearance for me and for her. The sales lady was hanging with us So I happened to mention there was one pair I really liked. Then I said but I have too many already. She didn't think I meant it. Another truth be told and not accepted.
