NBC12 on your side, act of kindness

Post by Ms. Erin »

Having had some troubles this year a friend of mine called NBC12 on your side and they accepted her story, and we were both in the news on TV in the Act of Kindness. She told NBC12 about how much she appreciated me helping her in bad times, and then I got some bad moments myself, my mom needing eye surgery, my ceiling collapsed displacing me out of home for 4 to 5 months and I had a financial setback.

Unfortunately NBC12 removed the video from their website but here is the link to GayRVA news:

I will try to upload a screen video copy to my website and place a link here later.

I uploaded a low quality video to my YouTube channel.

Now I do have to add I was surprised and nervous, when you walk in a room and see a camera in your face. I didn't know it was going to became somewhat focused on transgender issues. If I had known I would have responded different I think. I even answered the question wrong, "what advise I have for other transgenders", I should have said to find a support group and don't be thinking you're alone. (I did at first)

Well, the advice was kind of implicit in the video - because the presenter said at the top that you had met at a support group. So that set the tone for all else.

My God, girl, you've had troubles. Because that's where you seemed to be when you were last here - and, in your absence, they just seem to have kept coming.

I thought it was a nice video. My main impression of you in it was how touched you were by your friend's "act of kindness".
