It's well known that Crocodiles and Alligators have serum in their blood that acts as a powerful antibody, which means they can effectively fight off almost any bacteria or virus.

With the vast number of scientists and epidemiologists working on a vaccine I would certainly hope at least one of them is aware of this fact and has explored it but TBH we will probably never know.
