Where have all the moderators and admins gone?

Hi girls,

I hate to sound like my old insecure self, but I can't help but notice that Sharon(SO) has not returned from vacation. I have not seen Love(SO) post in a long time. It seems Beauty is posting less and less. CJ is still posting a lot, but one moderator for this many people has got to be difficult.

I don't know why, perhaps because I love this place so much, I am just afraid something bad is going to happen that would leave me homeless. The SO section has all but dried up and died. I know I shouldn't worry, but I still do.

I know this is just insecurity, but if Sharon, Love, Beauty or Shannon could make thier presence known, it sure would make me feel better. I am beginning to wonder if something bad happened on vacation, and Sharon and Shannon are not coming back? Or there is some feud between them I don't know about. Or if Love and Beauty are just fed up, or don't have the time to be moderators?

I am sorry for letting this upset me, but it sure would be nice to hear from all of you.

Maybe with it being summer in the northern hemisphere, our administrators and moderators may be off-line more, enjoying summer activities and not being as visible to us through their posts. Running a website requires a lot of work that isn't really visible to us.

Sharon (SO) was away fron Shannon for 3 weeks. If my wife went away for 3 weeks and then came back, I would be spending time alone with her for a while, away from the 'net.

Yes, especially August, it is a time when people vacation, and take care of those things they must before fall. And yes many people who live in cold areas cherish the nice weather and take advantage of it.

I have considered all these things. I am just terribly insecure. It worries me. I know it shouldn't, but it does. I would just feel better knowing everything is ok. Maybe that is selfish. I just like knowing things are ok, and not about to explode. Sorry for thinking negatively, but when the core of the forum vanishes, it makes me insecure.

Yes, I was also wondering when the rest of gang will show up. But, like some of you have already pointed out, it is summer. They could be otherwise busy. I just hope Sharon made it back okay. I'll wait a bit more and then send out some PMs to see what's up.

I am way glad you are still here. You are a loved person. I know I am just a worry wort, but I did PM Shannon, Sharon, Love, and Beauty. I would just feel better knowing everything is ok.

You must feel overwhelmed. Just know that we all love you, and I for one am glad you are here, and a moderator.

I'm still here

and everything is o.k., thanks for your concern

I've just been a bit busy, but I have still been checking in on the forum pretty much everyday. My family and I have been on vacation for a while

but I did have access to the internet while on vacation $\:D/$ and I would check in on the form regularly, I just haven't had time to really post and make my presence known

Oh, and tomorrow is our 14Th wedding anniversary

(we made it!!), now we just need a sitter for the kids, any volunteers?

I'm here and I do read the forum to make sure things are doing ok.

You can notice if I'm around because new members names change. Or you'll see names that were all lowercase have a capitalized first initial.

I ALWAYS miss this forum when I'm not here for a day or so. I really do mean ALWAYS.

CJ is doing an incredible job maintaining the board.

Love is back too and that will help a great deal.

I'm with the Jadeanne about Sharon. I'm pretty sure she's ok, but I don't want to bother her after being away 3 whole weeks. We ALL miss you Sharon!!! I know I do!
