What an interesting day today was and nobody berate me for what I did and didn't do! - Please. First, I have a favorite blouse that I am going to wear in Atlanta. kinda of a ornage/peach color. Anyway, I took it to Nerle Norman and since I know Charlotte who works there (her husband was a pilot also) I aksed her to match up lipstick and nail polish to the blouse and she did. I think she suspects but she is "don't ask don't tell." I then went next door to a consignmnet shop to look for a gown, I did not know the lady, so I used the premise of that it was for my niece and its for blah, blah. blah. She showed me a dropdead georgeous RED floor length for $200.00 and said she could discount it a bit. I am thinking about it. Anyway we got to talking and she related how her granddaughter was pregnant with a second child by a different guy at age 20 and never been married. I told her about my daughter and how long it took her to "find herself" and not give up on the girl and I think I made some inroads, she teared up and so did I. After I left, I got in the car to come home, looked in the mirror and I swear I saw Virginia smiling back at me! "You have just done a girl thing big boy!!!"
Looked at several other gowns at different stores, even tried one on at Goodwill - beautiful but just a bit small - still looking!

Thanks Jassmine, your being a GG can more readily identify with what happened in that store. I hope it was my growth in this and my anima exerting her influence more and more in my life that I was able to connect with this lady and honestly she seemed in a little better spirits as I left. It just feels so good to be able to share these things and hopefully be supportive to another human being. Before Virginia can into my life (not that she was not already there) but this just would not have happened to me. I love it!!!

Virgina,

I am so happy that happened to you. I know just how you feel. It seems now that I am in femme mode most of the time, I really get emotional more easily than I used to. Yesterday I cried at the end of "Officer and a Gentleman" I have seen it many times and it never made me cry. However I was writing an emotional response to a post at the same time, so it was kind of a double dose.

But women are interacting with me in a way they never have before. It is like I am no longer a threat to them and they let thier guard down. I love it, and it sounds like you do also.

WOW you are braver than me ! Im looking for a gown for SCC too, but am way to scared to try one on at the store !
I did buy one at Goodwill , but tried it on at home,,, *sigh * way too small !!
I did see some nice ones in the last Lane Bryant Cataloug, so May order one soon.
Anyway sounds like you had a great day !!
