Did you ever used to watch this in the hope that he would be in a girls body again? lol
I was thinking, cos I was watching it on tele the other day, and I suddenly rememered how I would get all excited if the show ended with him going into a girls body at the end. I would then wait all week and be sooo excited to watch it the following week I must have been about 11 at the time lol
Used to watch chat shows growing up just to see if the topic was about crossdressing and stuff as well
I have also been watching it again on late night TV.
When I saw it originally, I also eagerly anticipated the ones where he became a woman. (In one he becomes a male cop dressed en femme.)
I thought the show's concept was very nice and some of the episodes were wonderfully written. At LOT of attention was paid to correct costumes and historical detail. But the ones where he becomes a woman are all SO disappointing
Whatever person he becomes, it becomes SO 1980's PC. As a woman, "Sam" ALWAYS brings up how hard it is to wear the clothes, and how oppressed women are. For example, as a beautiful executive secretary in the 1950's, Sam refuses to wear nylons or a girdle, and wears sneakers to work. (She'd be fired for that.) As a '60's Beauty Contestant he barely tolerates having to learn the dance routines. He is supposed to convince the people around him he IS the person he has become too. (Hey, call in sick honey.)
Any of the ones where he becomes a woman, I don't watch in rerun.
Yeah I remember this show and I too remember getting all excited when Sam jumped into the body of a woman. My favorite was when he was a secretary called Samatha.
I think I'm right in saying that some episodes have recently come out on DVD but guess what? .......I don't think any of the ones on the DVD are
of him jumping into a woman. Typical !!!
