An Australian Film Company, Beyond Productions is going to make 2 x 1 hour productions for Discovery Channel in the US on Gender and transition.
They have been making documentaries for 20 years world wide for broadcasters, including National Geographic.
The are treating this subject in a serious and sensitive manner and their aim is to raise the general awareness of the public about sexual identity and the emotional and physical challenges facing those of us with deeper set gender conflicts.
They will be filming in Australia and the US over the next few months and if anyone wants to find out more about the proposed documentaries they are encouraged to contact Sandra Radice on email sandra_radice@beyond.com.au
Aside from us they are seeking to meet and interview people from Health Professionals through to Support group workers and Medical experts in the field of TG, so if anyone wants to participate or if you know of anyone who would be willing to take part on an educational basis, then they are anxious to hear from you or them.
It's through this type of informative documentaries that public awareness is raised and all help will be gratefully accepted and treated with the sensitivity it deserves.

That is wonderful news. I hope some do contact her. It would be nice to see a documentary about where we are now. 10 years ago things weren't as put together as they are now. I feel that's in the community respect and even within the world of therapy.
Because of the web, I think there's lots more info out there and it would be nice to see a documentary showing what's been learned.

Sally this is grat news. I think that "we" are finally getting the exposure that we need in a postive manner.
For my sisters on this forum: Should you read Sally's post there are several of you (I will NOT name names) but you know who you are. You are the "shakers and movers" in our "Magical Mystery Tour." You should contact Sandra Radice and offer her your expertise. I am sure she would treat the offer with great respect and follow any suggetions that you may offer. You could really help those of us who are struggling and also our new, yet to be discovered sisters! No preaching but what else are we here for but to help others "On this trip around the sun!!!" Please give it a shot, what is the worse that could happen - you could end up on television and become a star!!
