The Official Beauty Appreciation Thread

Post by Elizabeth »

Hi girls,

I just had to start this thread to say what I have thought for a long time. And that is that indeed Beauty is a very special person. And I do remermber how bad it sucked when she was gone. And how glad I was when she returned.

Indeed her and Sharon did save this forum. After the first blowup it was very tense in here. Posting almost came to a standstill. The SO section did not see a post for weeks. But Beauty was like a shepard and held the flock steady, and I can only speak for me, but this sense of stability was greatly needed. I was at a very difficult time in my life.

I know there have been times that I have been critical, but I always intended it to come from my heart, and not tu injure. So I want to just take thei opportunity to say

Beauty, I love you and respect you greatly, and don't beleive this forum would be what it is today without you.

Love always,
Elizabeth

Beauty IS the forum. No Beauty? No forum. Its simple as that.

I took my hat off to her a long time ago.

Thank you for this thread Elizabeth,

It appears Beauty has gone through a rough time of it, and I think this thread is very appropriate given the present circumstances.

I agree with Alexandra No Beauty? No forum.
It is really just that simple. IMO.

Love Darlene.

Good morning,

Thank you so much for the absolutely beautiful mental roses. :) They are wonderful and you've started my day out with a huge positive lift. I don't ever think I can say thank you enough.

I think if there were no me, no Sharon, no Shannon, no any of you, there would be no forum. What I like about this forum is our togetherness. So though I totally see what you're saying about me with the forum, please let's acknowledge each other and this forum community that is so strong.

The SOs here have been our rock and we have gained so much in our understanding of what a woman really is. A woman is far from only a female human in female clothes. Women are far more complex and the SOs here have shone a light with their openess here that I feel we all are forever thankful for. They've shown us the consequences of what happens when we don't tell them the truth about ourselves early in the relationship and they've communicated what it would take to gain their trust back. They've shown us what a joyous time it can be if we do tell them earlier. We can't ever turn back from what we've learned from them. I doubt any of us want to. So it's safe to say, no SOs, no forum. :)

The CD'd members have maintained their ability not to get adult like other forums I'm a member of. I'm a member of only a few where the topics about CD'ing don't turn into perversion. We respect the women here enough to keep things clean. Our CDing members have all shown how totally classy they are by keeping things together even as challenges occurred to our natural instincts to defend ourselves as men were shelved to do our best to be courteous and respectful to others. No it didn't happen all the time, but it happens the majority of the time. You all deserve a huge thanks too. Ah, look at what we have here, no CD's, no forum. :)

Think about all the moments without certain people this forum wouldn't have flourished. Each CD and SO member propelled us to new heights.

Our founder, though he may think after yesterday's response to him that I don't feel this way (but I do feel this way), there would be no forum without Shannon. Shannon did muster up courage to contact an ISP and commincate, "Umm Hi.. I'd like to have a website called crossdressers-forum." That took real courage. After getting things together on the ISP end he figured out the software to get the forum up and running and promoted the site on the CDDF where lots of us found our new internet home. He offered me a position and even was humble enough to give the keys to Sharon and myself while maintaining ownership of the forum. It would have been impossible to have the forum without Shannon. So again, no Shannon, no forum.

In my hopefully humble opinion the biggest champion for the forum has been Sharon. I think her husband, all the SOs and most of the people here would agree. It was her idea and design that added a feminine feel to the forum. In the beginning, she alone attracted a lot of the SOs. It was her idea when things needed to be woken up to get a new chat program for the users. There have been ideas for birthdays and all the other features she's added. Her feminine and classy touch and her openness has been the biggest draw for SOs to come in and participate. She's a leader where others haven't lead before in the SO/Wife world. In many ways she's a beacon for SOs who are lost to swim to for love and comfort. She's talked me into staying, she implemented new ideas and has saved the forum countless times. Shannon let Sharon and I become a team and this team is why you all like it here. So as you can definitely see, no Sharon, no forum.

If this seems like I'm giving back these wonderful morning flowers then I apologize. In my mind your kindly worded gift this morning I wouldn't ever give back. What I'm just asking, if you don't mind, please let me give the bulk of these to Sharon, and share a few with Shannon, the SOs and the other great members like yourselves who have proven no us, no forum.

I'll always have the memory of the gift and that's what more important than anything. :) I'd feel bad if I didn't thank Elizabeth for starting another positive thread on this forum and to those who responded prior to this post. =D>

=D> I also am lost for words. Even though I am rather new here, if it had not been for this forum I would still be lost and in hidding some what. My So has read this forum and the responses that the other SO's have posted. That is another reason why she has become more accepting with the world of Crossdressing. Beauty, Sharon and Shannon my hat is off for you. And thank you for keeping this forum alive. You three people are very wonderful.

Hugs and Kisses, Claire

It takes a lot of balls to wade into the middle of a pissing contest and say 'that's enough'. For that, if for nothing else, Beauty, you deserve every thanks you get. Not that I'm saying that's the only reason, not by a long shot. <<^o^>>

I agree and would like to give gratitude for all the folks who have made this the positive place that it is. I have learned a lot here and am more for this forum, not less
