Hi all - good to be back here.
Wow ! What a thrill. I am all dressed for the first time in months. I have lost about 20 lbs, and my femme things look and feel better. Wig and lipstick help, and even the aged face looks more feminine.
For the several weeks, I have been trying to cope with a miserable mitral heart valve. After a long session with the cardiologist yesterday, I decided to stick with medication and life style control, rather than surgery. Even at my age and state of decrepitude, surgery is a viable option, but the risks are too high for my non-gambling nature.
The management of my condition is easy: walk with a cane slowly; take a bunch of deep breaths from time to time; take my pills; eat lightly with minimum salt; have a nice nap in the afternoon. I have no trouble driving to do shopping or any of my other responsibilities. All as long as I do it slowly. As time goes by, my physical tolerance should improve. Besides, my beloved SO has been of huge support.
Curiously, now that I am dressed, I feel more chipper and breathing easier. Maybe this is a temporary illusion, but maybe there is something to the health of cross-dressing. At any rate, I shall report here from time to time. Of course, I am back to reading the mail faithfully. I'll insert a post here and there when the spur thrusts appropriately.
BTW: Great recovery, Elizabeth. My fondest wishes!
Hugs to all,
Willy

Thaks to all for the good thoughts.
It is all mental, of course, but I do feel I can cope better en femme. Still all inhouse - mostly.
Thanks for the idea, Anne - I have a complete set of Marx Bros. movies on DVD. I think I'll drag them out one by one. I could watch that famous stateroom scene (Night at the Opera) over and over again.
Hugs,
Willy
