Shopping Trip

Post by Sarah Lynn »

Hi Girls,

I just had to post about my shopping trip this past weekend. I decided I would like to treat myself to a new outfit so I went shopping in Toronto. I was dressed casual in jeans, a teal coloured top, matching socks and a nice new pair of Reebok Princess sneakers. I have not reached the stage of wearing a wig, makeup, etc. but all my clothes were womens. I went to malls and such looking at all the wonderful clothes available. I fiqured since I was wearing Cotton Ginny jeans and top that I would buy an outfit there. I went in and the sales lady was very helpful. I picked out a trendy tam coloured pair of modern fit flare leg cords, a bady blue top and a really nice matching baby blue zipper front sweater to match. It is a really cute outfit. Once I got the chance I put my new outfit on and decided I wanted a trendy pair of shoes to go with it, an outfit is not complete without the shoes. Off to Tallcrest shoes where they sell ladies shoes in larger sizes. As soon as I went in I immediatley saw the cutest baby ble platform skechers and had to have them. I asked the sales clerk and Luckily they had my size (ladies 11). To my surprise, when she brought them out she took the right shoe out of the box and asked me to have a seat. She must have known they were for me because of my new outfit. I put the right shoe on and she got the left one ready. She was so nice. I stood up and walked around and they looked great with my flare leg cords. The sales lady commented that they really went well with my outfit. My heart was pounding, it was such a thrill. I wore the outfit for the remainder of my shopping day and loved every minute of it. I can't wait to go shopping again, I get more comfortable every time. Anyone else have a fun shopping story they would like to share? Hope everyone is doing well and having as much fun as possible.

Sounds like you had a fun time Sarah. That's great, congratulations. =D>

However, it sounds like you didn't finish your shopping.

You know what they say, if the shoe fits- time to accessorize :P

Thanks DonnaT. I think you are right, it is time to accessorize :) . I think a nice belt would go great with my new outfit. I love shopping. I really think I am ready to progress my dressing and purchase a wig and pick out some nice make up to complete the look. I already paint my toe nails but I think my finger nails done in a nice shade would look fabulous as well. It will be a huge step but I am looking forward to it.

GAP ONLINE

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Sarah-- that's a great story about your shopping trip in Tornoto (I assume those are Canadian owned stores you are referring to.) Most of my shopping lately has been done with GAP ONLINE or at the Burlington Coat Factory store in downtown Silver Spring. BCF is a warehouse type place, so you won't receive much personal attention there. But I've actually enjoyed talking with the folks who answer GAP's 1-800- GAPSTYLE number. Generally nice and patient and not thrown when I tell them the clothes are for me. It really is ironic for someone of a hippie--greenie persuasion to be buying stuff from such a mainstream place, but I really do like their preppy with flash sort of styles and they look good on me. So there you are.
Happy shopping!
Peace-- Kendra Lynn

Sounds like you had a fantastic time, and i am so happy for you.

I am hoping to go for a day shopping in Toronto, within the next week, and looking forward to it.

I have been femme shopping for a while, so think I will go femme, however will probably wear slacks instead of a skirt depending on the weather.

I am looking for a nice kilted or pleted skirt, so shopping femme, I will feel much better when wanting to try some thing on
