Going out for the first time...

Post by Adora Jade »

... and wow was it special (in several ways/meanings :P )

So, last Wednesday, Amanda was trying to cheer me up from a bad mood when she suggested we walk on the nearby bike path at night while "dressed all cool" (as I call it). Then Friday comes along and we are hanging out and having fun when we get everything together. We make our plan and set into action, only to find a few problems in it.

First, we forgot about picking up food for us and her parents, so we had to re arrange our plans to put that first before our walk (as it was around 8 PM). So we eat and then we get everything in the car and proclaim that we are going to go walk before I go back home and we leave in the car to go onto the bike path.

We parked nearby and I changed in the car. I wore a school girl type skirt, my really soft Foreigner shirt (it feels kinda like some of my sister's shirts in material so I thought it fit), a white button up shirt, and a long black coat over top. I wore a jacket because it happened to be roughly 40 degrees that night, but I was dedicated!

We start walking and begin to discuss various things we read about on this board and everything was going fine. Then I noticed more draft than usual. I mean, come on... it's hard to put a wrap around skirt on in a car #-o

Amanda kindly fixed my little wardrobe malfunction and we continued walking a ways before we decided to turn around. (Here comes the best part). We see that up ahead there is somebody else walking on the path and I get a little worried but overcome the fear and decided to just keep walking no matter what. As we get closer we can see 2 people and one suddenly goes off the the side of the road; seemingly, both stop and are waiting.

We get kind of worried because they might be muggers or something... or worse. Getting even closer, I hear an "Oh 'shoot'" from my side and look ahead to see it is her parents!

We both speed up and kind of pretend like nothing is up until they notice us and are confused because they thought we went somewhere else to walk. I kept walking because I didnt want to stop in fear of it being easier to spot my fancy new clothing. We soon get past them and continue to walk faster.

We stopped after a while and laughed because they didnt seem to notice anything. Even worse, if we had continued to our usual stopping point, we would have had to walk back towards her house with her parents as they were not that far behind. We safely get back to the car and I change and I go home.

That was one of the best times I've had and I can't wait to do it again. We are planning on this weekend again but we will have to see!

I need to stop typing so much :(

Nah, no need to stop typing, your story is interesting.

How old are you and Amanda anyway, if I might be so bold to ask?

Heh, glad people enjoyed that adventure. What I meant by stop typing is to try typing shorter responses sometimes but I like to type heh.

Anyway, both of us are upper classmen.

And, uh... don't know what else to expand on as I am distracted by lunch at the moment :P
