So, Saturday was a pretty day, and my sweetie lay outside tanning in his bikini. That night, as I put oil on his sunburned, bikini lined chest, he was talking about my hair. He's often said that he likes that mine is longer than his (his is armpit length, mine is mid-back...). So there he sat, with a string bikini line, saying that since my hair is longer than his, "you're the girl and I'm the boy".
Now, I'm not upset about this - slightly bemused, but not upset. Just rather puzzled....
does this make sense to ya'll? Can you translate for me?
thanks,

Sounds like he might have been trying to ease your mind a little.
After all, it's not often the "guy" in the relationship has bikini tan lines, and seeing the lines he may have wanted to reassure you that you are the lady in the relationship.
But, you know him better than we do, and if it wasn't that, then I haven;t a clue why else he would suggest hair length made a difference.

Hi Georgia,
So? If you cut your hair to shoulder length, do you become the man and he becomes the woman? I think he was just reminding you that he still knows who is who in the relationship. My exwife used to always say to me "I want to be the woman in the marriage". I think he was seeking to reassure you despite his feminine desires and looks, he still sees you as being the female of the relationship.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Thanks ya'll,
I think maybe Elizabeth is closest to the way he said it - there were other things going on at the moment (and previous moments) that clearly indicated who was male and who was the female in the bed. And he's mentioned this hair thing, and me wearing more girly things than him, at other times...always in the "Me Tarzan, You Jane" type of context.
Maybe that's it - he's reminding me, as Elizabeth says, that he still sees me as the female in the relationship - and maybe confirming it to himself? Often people say things out loud that are meant more for themselves than the listening public...
thanks again,
