Backpackers hostels in New York City
Can anyone help me? My son (19) is on a round the world trip of a lifetime. He will shortly be traveling to New York where he will spend three days. Do any of you know of a reputable hostel in NYC that he could stay at?
Thank you all.
Susan
Thank you all.

Hi Donna
Thanks for responding.
He will be arriving on 12th July until the 15th. He is in LA at present staying with a friend of ours. He has a natural wanderlust so I guess he will want something in Manhattan. Don't worry if you can't help, we have other paths open to us.
Best wishes

They run more of these than anyone else I think. The ones in SF are nice enough, for what they are, which is NOT the Ritz. They give all the info on the web site.
For what's its worth, you might check out the 'note from the parents' deal, as a lot of hotels and such will not let people under 21 rent rooms as policy.

Thank you Donna, with your help my son found a hostel on Manhattan for $90 for four nights, - which was within his budget. Today is his last day in the Big Apple, he leaves JFK this evening. He has had a good time there by all reports.
Once again Donna Thank You on behalf of my son.
