Before we left, however, I said I needed to go to the ladies room and powder my nose, etc. So I went. No problem.
As I was coming out, a young (and handsome) man came out the door of the men's room--which was about 8 feet in front of the ladies door. He suddenly stopped, tipped his ball cap, and invited me to go ahead of him. I smiled and then motioned for him to go. He paused and then both of us started to go through the outer door which connects both bathrooms. He again stopped as on a dime with 9 cents change and allowed me to go ahead. Which I did. After we had both gotten through that doorway, I turned to him, smiled and said: "I think we ought to go ahead and dance and not sit this one out." He took my hand and put his arm about my waist and we did a slight little twirl.
I could not help laughing so loud inside myself as I was leaving the restaraunt and going out to the car. It was the funniest thing that has happened to me yet in complete femme.
By his attire, it was easy to tell he was close to a redneck if not one completely. But he was so gentlemanly about his action that it was beautiful and he was a true gentleman in it. So I had to laugh as I told Elsie when I got out to my Mustang. She too laughed and we both wondered what the young man thought after he went back to his table to finish his lunch.
What a lunch time!
