kentucky/ohio people....
I havent been out as Breeonna. Truthfully I dont have that many clothes either sadly. I was wondering if any of the girls from Northern Kentucky of the Cincinnati area of Ohio could tell me of a few places to shop that either cater to tg/tv/ts/cd's or is tg/tv/ts/cd friendly. I know that Torrid is and theres 1 at the Florence Mall, but I'm currently too scared to go anywhere to near to where I live.

Pardon me saying this, but you're going to have a hard time putting together Gothic Lolita outfits out of most of the mainstream stores. Torrid can help, if the store is one of their "Edge" outlets. An Edge store carries a lot of Tripp merchandise, as well as other items that appeal to the goth/punk crowds. If you can't find an Edge store near you, they have a section devoted to that line on their website. Hot Topic is another, and I've shopped there en femme and out.

Bree, NEVER be afraid of walking into any store. 99.9% of the people really do NOT cares what you are doing, even if they could read your mind, and they cannot, they are way too preoccupied with what they are doing to worry about what you are doing. SA's are either thinking about a break or thinking about your money and other customers are thinking about their own little world.
just act like you are buying for someone else. if you are shopping in drab, you ARE really shopping for someone else, Breeonna. one aid i sometimes use is to make a shopping/wish list with sizes and such. as you browse around refer to the list often. in a bigger store you might act like you are with someone else and just got separated.
i find it best to visit stores during a weekday/schoolday, less crowded means less chance of seeing someone you know. i really do avoid shopping around preteen and teen age girls, for some reason they DO have the ability to read my mind... just kidding.
you only live once, get out there and enjoy shopping for Bree.

If you don't mind shopping online, another place to check for GL stuff is Lip Service.
http://www.lip-service.com/
They're a little pricey for someone who's used to shopping Torrid and Hot Topic, but they have a lot of different looks for the Goth/punk/fetish crowds, and the stuff is very well-made. They actually have a brick-and-mortar store in L.A., but I don't see myself getting out that way anytime soon.

thanks for all the advice.
I have shopped once in person, but it was only a pair of armwarmers. I tried a second time at Hot Topic, but it was near Torid, so they didnt carry plus sizes. The sp at HT suggested Torid, but she had this kinda of I know look which kinda scared me a bit and made me really nervous.
