Hi Ladies

Long time, no see

Yesterday I ordered myself a pair of Amoena Classic Contact breastforms in size 5 ( 36C). After years of wearing my Super Perks I wanted something different and I believe, the feeling with self-adhesive forms is quite wonderful. Or is it?
What do you think, ladies?

I would also appreciate some tips from you who have worn those forms. How well do they stick to your chest and how you get them exactly in the right position before putting your bra on. I have very dry skin and I don´t perspire much.
Do you think, I can put my bra on first, then pull the cups off my chest, drop the form into the cup and press it aginst my chest?

Could you provide the infomation on where you purchased them, how much they cost and you feeling about their value, appearance, ect. once you have them...

I just looked at the website of The Breastform Store and see that they are available there at $519 US.

Could you please post your opinions on them as you get used to them?

Ladies

I bought a pair of those from The Breast Form Store a few years ago and they've been great, both from a comfort and a practical standpoint. While I usually wear them in a bra, I have worn them a few times without, if wearing a strapless dress or halter top. The self adhesive attachments that come with them worked pretty well, as long as your top is snug enough they don't move around too much. Unless you're a trampoline athlete, you should be ok.

I find the best way to do it is to attach the velcro side of the adhesive pieces to the velcro strips on the back of the forms (don't peel away the protective covering just yet) Put your bra on, insert them, then hold each one in place and then lightly mark (with the pencil they include) the outline of the form on your chest. Then remove your bra and the pencil mark will be your guide for correct placement of the adhesive/velcro attachments. This may take some practice, but it's not difficult.

As far as the forms themselves, I found them very comfortable and they felt very natural that it's easy to forget I'm wearing them. I did sleep in them one time, although this can be risky, as they are succeptible to damage if you happen to roll over on them while you're sleeping. Not good.

I would certainly buy another pair from the BFS and with plenty of TLC, they should last you a few years depending on frequency of use. As Janet said, one of the best investments you'll make.

I like going without a bra, but as you know and I guess many of our sisters have found out, (the hard way) When you start getting into a "D" cup and higher, it takes industrial strength tape or glue to keep them in place and unless you are a big girl and can carry off the "larger chest" something in the B to C cup is satisfactory. Now if you are not going to go out in public, it really doesn't make much difference but for those of us who do go out we find that if you leave point A and travel to point B and your boobs get there 15 seconds before you do it will attract, usually unwanted attention. That being said, in the States one of our sisters recommended a spray adhesive called "DURO All-Purpose Spray Adhesive." It specifically says on the can not to use it on skin, but "studies" indicated that it is more of a defensive posture by the manufacturer. I have used it on my "C's" and it works quite well. You have to be careful and GENTLY peel them off and it will leave your chest a bit red for a day or two (you have to ask yourself, what's it worth?) I wore them for, I would guess, 8 - 10 hours and they did great. You start getting in the 12+ hours and the oil from you skin would probably loosen them to the point of distraction.

Double stick tape. I have some and it too works but what I initially bought was "cheap." I would recommend one of two options. A carpet store or hardware store and ask of a good quality double stick tape. I would take it home and test a small piece on your skin then a small piece on your form before you try the entire placement. Also, your skin needs to be thoroughly dry, oil and lotion free. I usually wipe my chest with rubbing alcohol prior to "transformation." The other is contact a medical supply outlet and see if they have medical double stick prosthesis tape. The one supplier I contact here quoted me a price of $60.00 for a roll - that is a bit steep and I have not had the chance to shop around.

In closing, I think a lot of my sisters will agree, going bra less sure opens up a whole different avenue of styles, but learn to maintain a degree of modesty.

I got my amoenas in about 2 weeks after placing my order and have worn them several times already

They really are something different. The attachable forms feel like I really had breasts of my own and even though they are quite expensive, I think they´re worth it. I´ve had no difficulties at all when putting them on. I just put on my bra, then pull the cup away from my chest and drop the form into the cup. Then I press it against my chest for a few seconds and that´s it.

The surface "regenerates" itself and when dry, they are ready to be attached again. I forgot to mention that I´ve found the face cleaning gel to be effective to clean my chest area before attaching the forms.

I wouldn't be surprised as I bought mine a few years ago now. Sounds like yours don't require attaching an adhesive 'pad' to your chest first, to which the forms are then attached. If so, that would make things a little easier (and perhaps cheaper too - minus the cost of those pads)

Hi girls,

I have been using the Duro spray adhesive for two years now, every single day and night. I can go braless whenever I choose. Really the only time I take them off is to shower and even then, sometimes I leave them on. I have never had any redness or skin irratation or any other reaction from the spray. It pretty much looks like the same adhesive they use on bandaids. I don't waste a lot of time trying to get the adhesive off except when it builds up.

I have destroyed several breastforms trying to get the adhesive off. I found that hot water works better than anything else and to not try to get every little bit off every day. I wear mine 24/7. So I ended up getting two sets so I can always have a set to wear while I clean the other set. Also the Gold Seal from the Breast Form Store are double thick and don't break open like the light duty ones. So if you are going to use adhesive, I recommend them.

I went through two sets my first year wearing them full time, but since then I have two pairs that are in perfect condition after a year and a half of wearing them 24/7, which they actually tell you not to do. I am just at a point where I can't stand going without them.

Elizabeth, I experienced that same feeling last year one week when I wore my forms all weekend long. It was so

Bobie, the cheapest place to buy the Duro spray adhesive is at WalMart (about $3.79, if I remember correctly). It's in a blue spray can and you'll find it in the spray paint aisle.

That gives me pause, because I've considered buying them. I can see it not being so easy to just toss them aside. I would certainly like to not have to wear the strapless bra I have, though. And it would open up more style choices in dresses if I had even a little bit of cleavage.

Anita, Girls,

When my breastforms are glued on, which is all the time, push up bras work great. No need to tape. It pushes up and creates natural cleavage because the breastforms are attached.
