Bra fitting
I bought a bra the other day and am not sure how it should fit. Does anyone have any tips on how to adjust a bra to fit properly and comfortably (if that is possible).

From my own experience I understand the mid-section where the cups join is supposed to fit on the chest bone mid-chest. That has been my practice so far.
Of course, the straps are adjustable to suit, I believe.
Perhaps one of the GG's can give you more as they may have more experience and background.
Have a beautiful day.

Its been said that that majority of GGs wear the wrong bra. While I was umm..getting a bit of pampering in my beauty shop, my SO wandered next door to a lingerie store and had a proper fitting...turns out she was way off base and bought a properly sized bra. She had some back aches before that and comments now that it sure did help. I (we) can't really compare to what that all is, but it shows you how important a proper bra is. Heck, I've had nights where I just wanted to tear mine off...and others that were "so?). If you haven't read it...here's the link to "Wendys Bra Manifesto". http://www.geocities.com/dee_in_pa/bra/braintro.htm

My experience is most any full service store or lingerie department will do a bra fitting for a CDer, enfemme or even if you are in guy mode. Call ahead if you want as some departments have only specific people trained to do fittings. But I have always just stopped in. It does make it easier if you are in guy mode for it to be a slower shopping time for them.
I was in LB once shopping and a GG came in and wanted to try their bras per a friend of hers. The SA then wanted to measure her since it was her first time there. The GG just wanted to try the same size she was wearing even though she had earlier stated it did not fit well and that is why her friend said she should try the LB bras. Could tell the SA was trying to be kind and caring, but the GG was really being a pain. The first bras were way too loose compared to the ones she normally wore and needed to be a lot tighter. The SA wanted to adjust the straps and check the fit so she knew what size to get next. And the GG did let her after some sensible talk from the SA. Most of this time I had been paying for my purchase and talking with my SA. I asked if many gals were this much trouble when trying on bras. She said most were. I said makes sense if over 60% of gals are wearing the wrong size bra. She said over 80% were. I thanked her and she said she was going to see if she could help out the other SA helping the GG trying on bras. Sounded like a battle to me. SA's trying to do their job and GG's fighting back. I am sure GG's do not like being told they should be wearing a larger band or cup size, especially when in the full figure sizes.

Bra fitting
Start with the adj. straps fully out. The bottom of the bra should just touch the rib cage bone. If not, extend the straps about 4 inches on a sewing machine. Now, you will have some adjustment so the bra straps stay put, and don't fall down.
