seasonal changes

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

seasonal changes

Post by Absaroka »

Do other folks find that their crossdressing changes with the seasons? For example I enjoy a light top and a long skirt in spring and fall. Winter I like to mix my femme clothes with guy tops- flannel shirts mostly, for warmth. Summer I don't really like to crossdress much at all because it's hot and I prefer to wear as little as possible, which is easier in guy mode. I can understand why GGs hate bras in the summer.

No, can't say as it does. Short skirts and camisoles in the summer are great.

In a way yes, winter time I wear sweater and longer skirts, in the summer I prefer shorter skirts and love flowing sun dresses =D>

In cooler months wearing stocking and thigh-hi's is more comfortable, and wearing camisole tops under drab guy clothes is acceptable to. In the hot months this is too uncomfortable

Seasonal changes

Post by Kendra Lynn »

Hello all: Yes, the weather in different seasons definitely affects my CDing.
After all, I don't drive, so the outfits definitely change with the seasons.
Cooler weather: long sleeved sweaters, and of course heavier coats and jackets. Boots. Skirts made out of heavier materials. Long sleeved dresses. Jeans/denim skirts. Gloves when the temperatures require them.
Warmer weather: clothing made out of thinner materials (but NEVER anything really tight or "see-through"-- can't do it). Short and shorter sleeved tops and dresses. skirts of lighter materials. Jeans/denim skirts (good for almost all types of weather). Shorter wigs.
Hot weather: I stay in my air conditioned cocoon unless I HAVE to go out. There have been summers where weeks have gone by with no CDing.
Summer can be really nasty in the Washington, D.C. area.
Look forward to reading other responses.
Peace-- Kendra Lynn ("hippie cheerleader").

Hi Absaroka--
Bay area weather can be cold and windy at night, even in the summer. So I'm used to dressing with two to three layers of clothing most times. I carry the jackets around in the car--by 5pm, the fog is coming in, and it's time to put all of them on.

I learned early on that open-toed shoes and rainy nights are not a good combination. I was caught out just one time--never again.

There is a period in early fall, where the temperature goes into the 90s and 100s. I'm not as fond of that for femme dressing, as revealing clothing is NOT to my advantage. During that period, I can't get away with my layers. The nights stay warm or even hot during this time.

Well, I have to admit, I like my mini's all four seasons!!!! I have several ankle length warm winter coats to keep this gal's legs warm. I do however feel a slight, very slight shift to a bit more modest length as of late. #-o

Like most of us, the fall and winter does call for sweaters and heavier blouses. I still like my light, frilly and some see-through blouses for the summer, but I still have to have long sleeves when I go out. 18" + arms are a dead give away if they are not covered!

What I like is the variety and choices for each season - ain't it great!?

Personally, I enjoy the warmer months. I enjoy the lighter fabrics and colors, though stockings are sometimes to warm to wear.

Hi Frances,
My mother told me once a girl isn't completely dress unless she has her stocking on. To this day I wear stockings everyday, I really con't care for the bear look that is going around. [-X

Hi Carol Ann
you are right, nothing beats a great pair of legs and a nice pair of stockings can cover a world of blemishes. As my one pic shows I do like my legs smooth, but the right color stockings make a beautiful impression with any outfit.

I agree wholeheartedly about wearing them Carol Ann. The only time I don't wear them now is if I am in the yard doing yard work or working in my flower garden--for obvious reasons, of course. But a lady or woman either is just not complete and proper without them. Besides, think of that sensual feeling you loose when not wearing them. *winks*

All interesting replies. Part of the question which seems to have been poorly asked is does anyone else here find that in some seasons they like the guy clothes more than others. Some types of weather and some seasonal changes seem to make me like guy clothes more than others.
