Ok I will keep this short, you have heard it all

I was nine and my mother had a friend in an abusive relationship come live with us. Her frame was close to mine and when the house was empty I used to go into her room and wear her clothes. I felt beautiful and was so happy.

From 9 to 37 I felt the same but hid it even from my wife of 15 years. I could not take it any longer and had to tell her (I was so scared)but my wife has been extremely supportive and even bought me clothes.

My story is much deeper but you can only say so many words to say how happy I am my wife loves me and how much I love her threw this transition.

My story is similar to yours except I used to wear my sister's clothing and shoes. I too kept my CDing a secret. Wife and I have been married over 25 years and over a year ago I told the wife I was a CD. She was not happy but tolerated it. Then about two months ago, she decided to accept my CDing and now has even gone shopping with me.

Thanks all

It is always nice not to feel alone as I did for so long. I am still scared of public opinion but my shell is cracking and I am putting more of the real me out in front of the old me and I like it. I wear both ears pierced to work and an anklet, my legs are shaved but I wear pants so know one can see those. I have painted toes but shoes cover.

My wife and I went to goodwill and picked out bunches of outfits for under 30 bucks which is nice because I have not yet found my true womans fit so buying new and getting it home to only find out it does not look right sucks.

I was told here goodwill is the place to go and that advice was spot on. I was uncomfortable at first as we are kinda upper middle class but once we got into it I was finding the cutest things that you will all see pictures of soon enough. If you are a CD trust me go to goodwill and shop on a dime.

My wife is also supportive. She gives me her "tired" dresses to fill my closet. My male clothing is in one small corner of the closet. Congrats on having an understanding wife.

I go to Goodwill a few times a month. I've found some gems there. I am pretty comfortable with my sizes now, although it took me about a year or more and quite a sum of money to get there. I look at the material pretty closely now, nylon and stretchy materials I wear a smaller size, cotton w/o spandex is a different size, linen and cotton about the same. I can't get pant suits unless I can purchase a top and bottom separate (much more expensive).

I just go to Goodwill, grab some things and head to the ladies changing room.
And yes, I am a guy when I do it. I just ignore everyone now, as they do me!
