Is It Just Me?

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

I've epilated my leg hair for about 2 years now, rarely do I shave, just pull it out.... Anyway, the only ones who have ever asked have been my kids and their girlfriends or boyfriends. I've brushed it off at times other times, ignoring the comment and other times I've said my socks pull out the hair on the bottom of my legs and it looks stupid, so i shave the rest to match.

They smirk and we move on.

I shave every place now, i hate seeing hair on my body , one of the reasons i don't like waxing is because hair has to be so long to wax & i usually can't wait that long so i shave it off . No one has ever commented one shaved legs , i personally wouldn't care anymore i would just tell them the truth i like my body smooth end of story . Stephenie G

To be honest, I really do like the act of shaving. It makes me feel all "Girly"

According to some psychiatrists, theact of shaving one's beard is a form of virtual self-castration.

Think about it.

That is very interesting - Hmmm ! :-k

I never thought of it that way. I sometimes think that it is a pain to shave and wish that there was something reasonably priced that actually worked. I've tried several depilatories and always come back to shaving. As for the castration comparison. I guess that is what happens when you sit around and think to much. Life is already pretty complicated without having to go out and find the sublime message in say eating vegetables.

I really don't think of shaving as a mutilation act. I personally can't get either of my heads around the concept.

Lydia,

I would bet that those same psychiartrist are the same ones who support the entire DSM and believe that we = crossdressers are crazy!!

I think their license to practice should be castrated!

I shave my legs and I wear an anklet. I regularly notice people take notice of the anklet. No one notices the shaved legs.

No one cares

I have been surprised that my legs don't need shaving as soon as my face.
I do like the "ritual" reference.

I shave my legs and wear an anklet. The anklet gets the most attention. I see people notice it and give me a second look. Women mostly notice it.

I don't care, I'm tired of caring and being afraid of popular opinion. I have one opinion to please and its my wifes.
