Am I wearing a sign?

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

I posted on this topic, and then I looked and saw that it never appeared. Happens sometimes.

Hi Kimberly--
I guess what surprises me is the consistency of your experiences. That's a good thing.

To give you my perspective; I still don't experience that type of thing in male mode. I get along with women just fine, and always did. But 'getting along' is not the same as the kind of conversations I have with them when I'm operating as a version of a woman myself.

But it sounds like you are having those conversations while being a guy, and to echo the others, you must be doing something right.

I would love to have a conversation with women in the womens depts. I am wondering if you make eye contact with them while they are shopping or how do you let them know that you are there.. I usually zero in on what I am looking for with out noticing those around me. How do you let them know you are available for discussions about feminine things? Sounds like it would be fun. Janet

I guess you areluicky to have people ask you about clothing in the womens dept. Others here have had rude remarks while shopping en drab in the womans dept. Glad you are important enough to have women ask opinions from you

I used to purchase most of my clothes at goodwills. They were cheap, and no one pays attention to anyone else.
I bought my LEGGS Thigh highs from my grocery store till the quit carrying them. I thing I was the only one buying the Taupe size B's.

You're not the only one. Several times I've been in drab going through racks and a woman asks me what I think of a blouse or skirt. A sales girl at a nordstroms once asked if she could show me a skirt and top combo that she thought would look good on me while I was racking... how did she know???? One slow Sunday I bought pantyhose , also at nordstroms, I told the girl they were for me, we got into a discussion about pantyhose and crossdressing that lasted about 10min. I still have her business card. I find the younger girls are more willing to ask if you want some help. I'd say it's because they are on commission but they are really genuinely interested! How things have changed since the 50's and 60's.

I still get my thigh highs at Wal-Mart and they even have them in Queen, both suntan or off black in the 3 pack (box). (--)

I looked up that Hanes website. My cart is full. I'll look at Wally World. Thanks.
