A different Fathers Day

Well I had a fathers day that I did not expect. We had some things we needed to get for the house. So we were thinking of running to town about and hour away to pick them up Saturday night. Down side to living in a small town as selection is limited. It would have been a quick trip with lots to get in a short time. My wonderful wife says to me why don't you take tomorrow off and go get what we need. Well lots to do on the house, but a contractor is holding us up on what we really need to get done so I go for it.

So Sunday morning the usual routine. I get up and do a few things around the house until my family leaves for church, but just the kids this day. I then have about 2 hours to get ready and out of the house before they return. I exit the house in full makeup in guy clothes with as much femme under as possible. Femme clothes, wig, and cleanup stuff in bags. Then down the road I find a quiet spot with not much traffic and do a quick finishing change and add wig. I am in a long jean skirt and wine colored long sleeve tee type top for the day.

First stop is Home Depot look at air staplers as this is my fathers day present and look around and pick up some things. The store is fairly busy with lots of couples shopping and gals in skirts and dresses. Then on to Menards with a stop at Fashion Bug and Goodwill on the way there getting a new skirt at GW. Looked around and at staplers at Menards, use the restroom. It is busy here also again with lots of couples and lots of gals in summer skirts or sun dresses. I get a soda and move on to Lowes. Again look around and at staplers. I have a SA try to talk me into some whimpy hand stapler. Yea right. I pick up a few other things I need and decide to head back to Home Depot for the stapler. I give Robyn a call and she decides to met me there. At Home Depot need to have an SA help me get the stapler down that I want. He hands it to me saying here you go ma'am with that questioning look that I get often.

Now with everything I came for plus some bought, I move on to more femme tasks and head for the mall. I stop at Sears and try on a bunch of clothes and some more formal dresses but nothing hits me or fits right. I decide to make the tool loop to look at staplers even though I had one and check out the other tools. Can always return the stapler i already got. Decide to keep what I have and continue the store loop going through clothes and lingerie where I browse the clearance racks and pick up some panties and pay for them. Then some more racks later a couple of bras and pay for them. Why do they have the clearance racks so spread out anyway. Then going by the hosiery I see nude colored tights and pick up some and some thigh highs I hope are dark enough to cover. Made the SA laugh as I went to the same one every time. I had no problems using my male CC all day. Well mall was closed by then so I went and hit Target for a while then started towards home. I stopped at the riverside park on the way out of town where I walked around a bit and watched the high water before doing a clean up and called it a day.

Congratulations, Kimberly . . . sounds like you had a Father's Day and a Mother's Day all rolled into one . . . fantastic!!

I do hope you remembered to give Robyn a big hug and kiss for her thoughtfulness?!?

What ever it was, it was just a nice out and about femme day for me.

Oh you lucky girl as your wife will let you out in fem. Now I do understand the small town thing as we have to drive over 50 miles to get to a lager city where there is a home depot, etc. etc.

Look in your slow time why don't you come on down and help me finish my porch?. Let's see I have everything to finish but no time to do it. Crown molding, ceiling fans, door trim, and last but not lease a tile floor. See not much, I could use the help and I would feed you rather well if you enjoy wild meat and a little home made drink.

Lucky and Courageous!

I have yet to make it out of the house. But I am close to perfecting my look enough to feel comfortable.

I am glad you enjoyed that! I would as well

I need to meet a friend in AL to give me support to get to that level.

Carol Ann, not really luck, I would say a big compromise on her part. She does not like it, but sees I am a much better person when I get back. More relaxed and less stressed when I dress in full femme.

I will let you know when I am done with our project then we can work on scheduling a time for yours.

Christine, IMHO going out is not courageous or about looks or about getting to a level. It is within your head. Going out and about in femme attire is not for every CDer. Many seem very satisfied at home and I have wished at times I was satisfied just to CD at home. It would be much easier in a lot of ways. But if you are one that needs to get out and you are mentally ready to do it, you will. You will not courageously step boldly out the door, but instead will most likely be extremely nervous. And in my experience looks matters little when going out. It is mostly within your head and how that comes out in your attitude, presentation, actions, interactions with others and speech.

Do it the right way and have your wife on board and ok with you going out also if you do.

Standard disclaimer: Going out of the house was right for me, it may or may not be right for you. If you've got no desire to leave the house, that's fine, I'm not trying to push you out the door. But for those who've been yearning to do so, I just want to let you know the world may not be as scary a place as you think.
