Hi again...

it is now more than a year ago, that I got my (and my kids) ears pierced.
Unbelievable, but my ex-wife was really angry about that - the pierced ears of my kids would be a reason to sue me - well it was the decision of my kids, and she has to learn, that they can have different will...

Anyway... I was patient (thanks for taking care Carla) and waited until the whole were healed, before I replaced the stubs with nice earrings. I had no problems since then, except - the first time I tried to place other earrings I got a bit curious and dizzy... Well this settled down and everything is fine now.

I am really glad I did that step... and no one gave any remarks on them...

Do not know about the heavy part
When they are heavy, you can really feel them, especially if you move around. I just like the feel of them more when they are big and heavy!
I suggest using a large disk backing if wearing heavy earrings, to prevent/reduce the stretch marks that will result from wearing heavy ones.

Not that heavy! There are plastic earrings and then some have a bit of metal or maybe even stone in them. I prefer the heavier ones that tickle your neck with the slightest movement. IT always reminds me they are there!

Well, I've been out of the loop for a while so I need to update.
My wife came on here and found my last post on this thread, and while she took issue with the fact that I wrote about it here before I discussed it with her, she did take me to Wal-Mart about a month ago and got my right ear pierced. So just a couple more weeks and I can wear what ever.

Thank You PDH!

I've had my ears and nipples pierced for many years now. I wear simple diamond studs in my ears and small rings in my nipples.

Did mine myself while watching TV.
Got bored and thought it would be a simple thing.
Large needle first then a pair of studs.

Not recommended but it worked.

getting them pierced

Just as a matter of interest I put my ear studs in again after some 3 years of not having worn anything, and yes they slipped in with no problem except for the arthritic fingers trying to them
Keeping them cupped comfortably.

4 weeks ago I got my 3rd set of piercings. Gold studs. I have gold studs in the middle and small gold hoops in the bottom. My wife buys them for me on QVC or HSN. My favorites are small gold dangly crosses for the bottom. When I first started I would wear one large earing and a small one, usually crosses. I was complimented on them frequently. Once I was asked if I was a biker! I'm always out in drab and as I've mentioned wear alot of jewellery and clear nail polish. Don't know that I could get away with this up north but here in Florida no one seems to notice.

getting them piered

Brought a nice set of CZ studs plus large plastic backed clips so my arthritic fingers could handle them, couldn't get home quick enough to put them in.
Yep they look beautiful very happy with my purchase
( Just aside brought 4 new bras 3 halter & 1 soft cup)
Keeping them cupped comfortably.

Went in for my annual physical today. The nurse admired my earrings. My wife was present and said they were from Jewelery TV. These were the half inch hoops. One set rubies, one emeralds and the other blue sapphires. Didn't comment on the toe rings or clear nail polish tho. I finially got rid of the beard. To hot for Florida. :)

I posted a reply in a different section befor I saw this thread. Ohh well they covered it better then I did LOL.

I just wanted to say that now it 2009 it is allmost impossible for a employer to not allow a man to wear earringins in both ears unless the do the same for GG's and have a really good reason why since this is gender bias and very few employers want to face a lawsuit even if state law does not make that illegal.

Anyways few care anymore if a man wears earrings in both ears so if you want your ears pierced I say go for it! Learning to put eraarings on without a mirror (and without adding a new hole to your ear) like GG's do so naturaly was alot of fun for me :)

I got fires back in '87 for wearing earrings. The new office manager took offense to my ponytail and earrings and fired me on Christmas Eve for "dress code violation". My lawyer said I could fight it but In Ohio there is a law that lets employers fire for any reason.

I just got 4 pair of earrings I bought on Ebay. They were from a seller in China and in his auction he said don't bid if you want them fast but I was ok with that. Good thing it took 6 weeks to get them but free shipping and $21 for 4 pairs of 18KGP (I have to have real gold or thick GP or my skin turns green) so I am happy. Only problem was the mesurments were in metric so I converted to english and I saw the hoops were 3" and thought ok perfect. LOL I am only 5' 6" and 3" hoops look huge on me

Ohh well, they feel great on me :) I love the way they hit my neck when I yurn my head.

Other 3 are a huge teardrop dangle like 4" and 2 smaller dangle one a circle crystal and the other a crystal chandalier. Love them :)

I've had my ears done for some time. Was really for the "fad of it" at the time, but I realized later how cool it was for when I dressed. I have to go back in and get them re-done as I want to wear 14 (possibly 12) gauge rings.
