'Honey, you can pull up your pantyhose all you want!'
Hi all,
This is what Roxanne said to me a couple of hours ago: "Honey, you can pull up your pantyhose all you want!" I've been thinking, these last couple of weeks, about all the screwed up relationships and friendships that I see around me and I realized that ours is a very good one... we get a chance to let ourselves be who we are to a very good extent--I think--and we talk to each other and, especially, with each other; we spend quality time together; we try to give each other the space we need; neither one of us seems to fear the other's "issues" too much and, when we're confronted with those issues, we can deal with it and still talk to each other in the morning... so, yes, given all this, your crossdressing is a small matter to me, one that will never prevent me from loving you and from wanting to be with you. So pull up your pantyhose, already!" Then she grinned.
We were sitting at an outdoor terrasse in a Mexican restaurant close to home, just finishing our meal. I had just told her that I'd picked the wrong day to wear panties and pantyhose under my jeans--sweaty as all hell in this weather--and that I needed to pull up my pantyhose (this last said with a huge grin of my own). I guess I just wanted to needle her a bit with my crossdressing but she sure surprised the crap out of me with her little speech.
Just when I think I've got my SO figured out, she pulls an emotional stunt like this. Next thing I know, she'll be buying me panties and pantyhose, too. Oh. Wait a minute. She did just that, last weekend! Damn! I'm starting to run out of reasons not to be more forthcoming with her in my crossdressing.
The moral of this story: moments of intense emotional honesty are easier to come by if you're sitting in a Mexican restaurant on a hot and muggy evening while wearing pantyhose.
Enjoy the summer, gals! In these parts, it's more fleeting than a glimpse of stocking.
Love,
CJ

Roxanne has seemed like a great gal to me an she is still showing it. I know you have been a bit hesitant to show CJ. Does this mean we may be seeing CJ peak out some now? Maybe a trip out of town for the two of you?

CJ, if I am interpreting what was said, this is a response of one GG to another! You know the expressions, "big boys don't cry" or "take it like a man!" etc. Well, what can one GG say to another to make her act like a woman, "just pull up your pantyhose!!" and Git 'er done!!!!!!!
You lucky girl you!!!
Love ya,
Virginia

Moments of Emotional honesty is what we call down here,, being in love. When you are with the one you love, the emotional honesty flows very freely.
Actually a lot in life is learned and accomplished while in a social setting. Spontanituity(sp) is best when out with people, unlike a forum which tends to lack this, a forum is more scripted.
Same with gaining civil rights, people can go to many alphabet lettered club type meetings talking about how to gain civil rights, but it was the social setting of Stonewall that created the biggest gains for some. What I'm trying to say is, the best moments in our lives is when we interact with people, (dressed ar not, makes no difference) when we socialize with the ones we love, to me, this is when we learn about who we are.

Hi all,
Well said, Amélie, and true enough, too. We'd already had a glass or two of wine by then, also, so we were feeling a tad loosened up. I'm sure that helps.
Virginia,
That could be a fun expression, true... were it not for the fact that Roxanne thinks I'm crazy as a loon to wear pantyhose in high summer. I'm thinking it's time to go back to my preferred brand, DIM Voile--they're extremely fine and extremely sheer... like wearing coloured air on your legs (I remember one summer, back in the 90s when I always kept my whole body hairless, trying to, literally, "pull up my pantyhose" on a very hot and humid day and I couldn't do it; I could only tug or grasp my own skin, the hose were so fine. In fact, with little beads of sweat on them, they felt as if they were my own skin! My SO back then thought I was crazy, too.)
Kim,
I spoke to Roxanne about your idea and she thinks it's a great one. Of course, any excuse for a trip is fine by her!
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, sis.
And thanks to all for your input, too. I appreciate your putting up with my sometimes aimless ramblings.
Love,
CJ
