Hello from another SO

Post by Shelbie J (SO) »

Hello Ladies! I am a 36 year old female. I was married once before for ahwile in a very abusive relationship. After my divorce I didnt date much until I met Wesley. He told me about his cd as soon as we started getting serious. It was not something I had encountered before but I cared for him so I accepted it as a part of him and have had no problems with it. I would like to think that I am a supportive wife. We shop together for clothing as well as for each other. We are currently married and I have never been happier. He joined the forum a couple weeks ago and I have read some of the subjects he has wrote on and some he has read as well. He has encouraged me to join as well so I could met other wifes and g/f and maybe have someone to talk to, and learn how to deal with issues as they come up. So far the only issue we have had is I have 3 childern from a previous marriage 8, 12, and 18. The daughter (the youngest) has started asking a few questions here and there. He has posted about this and the people here seem to be very nice and helpful.

Hi Shelbie J,

Welcome aboard! 8) Always great to have another SO on the forum. I hope you'll enjoy the time you spend here and I hope what you find on the forum will help you shed some light on this whole CD'ing thing. Like Wesley, we're good folks with true hearts.

A suggestion: send a PM to SilverLady or GalicianGirl (the board's Administrator SOs) and ask one or the other to append the SO tag at the end of your username so that folks here can tell what's what and who's who. Also, if you haven't already done so, ask for permission to access the SOs-only area of the forum; you might meet kindred souls there.

Again, Shelbie J, welcome to the forum.

Love,
CJ

Hiya Shelbie J...

When I first read your post, it sounded like MY life story. I was married at 19, had one daughter and divorced at 22 due to him being mentally abusive. He was very controlling, both of my time and money.

At age 25, I met my sweetie and we became close friends at first. I had heard of and known about crossdressers, but he was the first one I got to know up close. He was only 22 at the time and still living with his mom.

He was very open about his softer side and I found his life story to be both heart warming and interesting. Three years later we realized we were in love and we married.

It will be 15 years this October. And I couldn't be happier. Oh, we have had a few bumps along the way, but who doesn't, huh? I feel Val is the perfect life partner for me!

My daughter was seven when we were married and she took to Val right away. Oh, I guess there were a few questions, but we worked thru them.

If you feel the need to chat, drop me a line anytime.

Hello Shelbie J,

I have a super sister on this forum who will tell you, you could do worse than marrying a cross dresser. Sweetheart we love and care like anyone else but do have a softer side, my wife and I have been married for 45 years and she just loves Carol Ann.

But she will be the first one to tell me NO or you are not wearing that outfit, so life goes on. Have fun and enjoy your special friend as my wife does. (--)

Hi Shelbie J
You'll love it here Hon. Great group of ladies. Real like you and bogus like us. My wife Mini was less than pleased when I told her and she lives elsewhere. That's life.
Some women don't realize they have the best of both worlds. How many men love to cook, clean and go grocery shopping? My personal favorite!
Better yet Shelbie is if you say"Honey. I'm going out to buy some makeup and new shoes." Your hubby will say"Lets go! " Another added bonus is you can exchange make up tips and he still can go out and fix the flat on your car and clean out the gutters on the house.
My one downfall was in the romance department. Mini would be feeling spunky and I would say" Not tonight Hon. I have a headache."
Enjoy your time on the forum. You two should come on the chat on saturday night. It's fun. Hugs

Love

Thank you all for your knid words and welcoming me. I have been reading some of the subjects her eand found some very interesting.

Sunshine girl I have foudn ove rthe years that that story plays out way to often. I though unlike you did not get out as quick tryed but for reasons I dont have timt o go into now was unsucessful. i was married and went through the abuse for almost 11 yrs and three childern later.
I havent had any issues with dealing with his cd'ing other than should we, how do we. and when is the best time to tell the kids. My childern are 8 yo girl, and 12yo boy at home and an 18 yr old boy already gone.

I would like to hear more about the kinds of questions and how you answered dealt with them from your daughter as we are starting to face this issue ourselves.

SilverLady (SO) thanks for all your help and understnading get me set up on here.
