Well, I didn't have to scour an RV today like last Saturday - only tidy my bedroom up a bit. If it weren't Africa hot around here, I'd be pretty lively - but at least I don't expect to hit the sack an hour into chat tonight. Progress.
Seriously, my brother and his brood have been visiting since Sunday, his sons have commandeered my machine for WarCraft, and I'm being force-fed irresistible food (I'd say I'm up at least 10 lbs and probably several more by the time our annual camping trip ends this coming Friday). Looks like I won't be in Flashchat tonight, possibly even by next Saturday. That said, I hope everyone who observed the holiday yesterday had a nice one, and I look forward to chatting again - once this long nightmare is over.
Well, the day started out well enough, and I was hoping to be here for chat with time to spare, but one of the inner duals on the RV I was riding in seemed to think seppuku was a better way. Ah, well.
Just when I think I'm out, they keep dragging me back in. I'll have to leave early tonight (6:00 PM, Pacific). There's a discussion group in Olympia - just in time for Lake Fair.
Doing seven songs last night for an open-mike event was a bit more than I'd bargained for, but I had fun. I'm a little tired and sore, but I'm ready for some chat.
I'm on Safari tonight - literally. I've decided to give Apple's browser a spin (no, not their OS, just their web browser). I'm interested in seeing whether Safari or Flashchat prevails.
Safari and Flashchat got along just fine. I'm going to try SeaMonkey again - this time with the http pipelining turned off. If that works, I'll be reminded: beware of power-user settings.
Ok, I promise - I'll be good tonight. But, in my defense, last Saturday night I was coming down with a nasty cold from which I'm still recovering as I type this . . . .
I might log in a little early tonight - because I'll have to log out early: there's a discussion group meeting in Olympia this evening. I'll probably attend these meetings less once they're better established (and we don't have to worry about them being cancelled for lack of attendance).
