....one of the great things about CDing is that it can take you totally out of yourself. As you know Melyssa lost her son (my step-son) and this was the first weekend we had to ourselves. I had suggested a girls weekend away before this tragedy and we decided to go with it as it helps Missy "escape" the all that goes with burying a child. I help as much as I can. Missy had a manicure to go with her bright red pedicure on Thursday. Friday she dressed, worked for awhile and then we were off to see The Full Monty at a theater-in-the-round. We ate dinner at Jimmy's Char House, somewhere Missy's alter-ego always wanted to go. A fabulous dinner, new purses at DSW, a great play - a good night. Saturday we went to the Milwaukee area and golfed 18 holes......she has to give me 1 - 2 strokes a hole so she didn't win <G>. Checked in to the hotel, changed and went to a surprisingly good Japanese restaurant in a suburb of Milwaukee. Today we enjoyed the WI State Fair. Missy is so comfortable with herself that it's like having a best girlfriend and best boyfriend all rolled in to one. But what I wanted to share is that regardless of whether Missy is her or him she is caring, thoughtful and delightful. As him he gets up early and gets coffee for both us and Missy did that too.....with very little make-up! Braver girl than me!! We've been to the State Fair with other couples before but this was even more special because we both got the female perspective. I was happy - I got a picture of a "poofy" chicken and watched the youth Clydesdale competition and we shopped 'til we dropped!! She's a great girlfriend and a fabulous husband.
Stormy, you are fantastic!!!! (I'd think that SL may have written your post or at least conspired with you!!!)
I, fortunately, have not lost a child but I had a very close friend who did and for a while he was almost inconsolable!! I can not even begin to think how it must feel. OTOH what this shows is the strength that women bring to the table. I know what Virginia does for me and I am so fortunate that "she is me and I am her!"
Give Missy our best and we look forward to her returning and sharing with us too!!!
Love,
Virginia
First star to the right, then straight on 'till mornin!
Stormy,
Sounds like you and your wife had a wonderful weekend. sue to some leftover vacation time, I have the next three weekends as three day weekends. I asked my wife if I could dress all this weekend and she said YES, so Friday morning, I will sshower, shave, and get all dressed up. It will be my first time to be dressed for such a long time.
I am glad you had a great time and I look foward to my time this weekend.
Stormy, sounds like it was a good and relaxing time for you both. Thanks for posting your prospective as it was nice to hear about the good side of CDing for couples instead of the struggles they are going through over it.

I am a physically male person that likes to wear feminine clothes at times.
Just trying keep a balance for my self along with keeping my wife and kids in mind.
I just wanted to re-iterate what you all have already stated -- Stormy is special and I'm lucky to have her in my life. This last month has been very hard on both of us -- and we have helped each other through it moment by moment.
With respect to my dressing, I could never have been able to go out without her help -- she has taught me much and given me the courage and the ability to go out and be!
My wish is that everyone have a significant other as supportive and understanding as I have!
