Oh where did it begin?

Post by Hope »

You know, I just can't remember exactly when, or under what circumstances crossdressing began. It just was I guess. I've always had a hunch that I was supposed to have been a daughter but wound up a third son instead. I remember vividly getting my first haircut as a child. It was horrible and I couldn't understand why I had to.

Much later in life, I ran accross an old photo of a girl accross the street from us. Curiously, there is another little girl standing next to her, a bit younger perhaps. The face is very close to faces I saw on photos of me around age 4 or 5. I asked my mother who it was and she just smiled and said she couldn't remember.

Hmmmmm......

From somewhere though, I gained an affinity for petticoats, full skirts, and those wonderful 50's styles we all remember. I was up front with my ex-wife before we were married and she accepted the idea. What I eventually found out was she assumed I would give it all up once she and I were married and I had relations with her. After a bit over 20 bunpy years (none of the bumps by-the-by focused on crossdressing) we divorced. Strangely, about a day after the divorce was final, she remarried....hmmmmmm.

Again, I was up front with my second wife. I figured no sense in hiding something. Either it was ok, or it wasn't and if it wasn't, no sense in ruining someone's life when there was a choice. She is quite supportive and....well I can't begin to descibe how wonderful. She won't wear the petticoats.....leaves that to me. She seems to think they get in the way all the time? LOL :)

It's good you were upfront with your second wife. That's the only way any of us can ever begin to live the way we need to do. I hope it's still working for both of you.

As to that picture of the neighbor girl--well, sometimes things like that just "occur," and we smile and wonder: what's this?

I have to resist the tendency to dress like my sisters did in the fifties, and like my girlfriends did in the sixties. It doesn't work out at the mall. At home, though, it's not a problem.

Hi all,

That was a cool post, Notweird. Possible petticoating as a lad, then? Hmmm, I'd be intrigued enough to bring the subject up again with my mother (that is, if, as I am, I'm open with her about this aspect of who I am). It's great that your spouse is aware and supportive of your CDing. Cherish her.

Love,
CJ

I do charish her....more than she'll ever understand I think.
As to my mother, unfortunately, it'w way too late to have a heart to heart with her. She passed away several years ago now. I do wish I had been able to ask her so many questions. Sigh...oh well. I'll just hang onto the idea tha perhaps that little friend of the neighbor girl was me.....

Hi Notweird,

Oh, sorry to hear about your mom. :| You mention your wife is supportive... does that mean she participates in your crossdressing? or is she rather a tolerant bystander? Does she go shopping with you sometimes? Does she allow you to dress openly? Is this a subject you two discuss at all?

Sorry for all the questions... I'm just curious.

Love,
CJ

Oh my....if it wasn't for her, my makeup would still be all the wrong colors, and I would still have a wig that just wasn't right. She and I had lots of discussions early on. She didn't know much about it and....neither did I. But together, we've learned a lot.

As to dressing openly with her? Well....once I suggested a fantasy of mine. It was to have all my male clothes locked up so all I had was female garments. Over the last several years now, once a year she does indeed lock my boy clothes up leaving me stuck in dresses. She thinks I'm silly (but in a good way), and I think she's wonderful.

Hi,

That's really cool that she does that! :)

I like the way you decided for your second marriage to "just do it" :) (telling her)

=D>

Thanks for posting your beginnings story. It was a good one. :)
