A perfect pencil skirt?
HEY!--its been awhile since I passed this way---been focused on music and life ( And shoes) and I'm completely inspired by Faye Dunaway's look in Bonnie and Clyde---and though I do have a couple of pencil skirts, there just not the perfect one---mostly because I don't have hips!---I wonder if anyone has scored the perfect one--maybe a little stretchy so it fits snug??----the beret and girlish slouch are no problem---but any help with the perfect skirt would be appreciated----bye for now---Tea CAke

Thanks Carla,
I'll keep shopping around! I hear you about waiting for a sale---I ordered one from Macy's last year--huge splurge---and it just doesn't fit right. (That's the danger of mail order.) The other one is Esprit, from a thrift store. Its cute but I'm still looking...the stretchy part is probably the missing detail.

Oh my effin' G! It's TC!
Long time no see, my friend. Glad you popped in.
Like Carla said, your best bet is stretchy fabrics--they hug and give you contours. No hips? No problem. Any lingerie or specialized undergarment boutique will sell you foam inserts for next to nothing. Normally, these foam pads are used as inserts in "pouched" panties to help define and pad your hips and butt, but I can tell you they work just as well if you place them inside your pantyhose and adjust them until you achieve your desired curviness (a good idea is to keep your body clean-shaven as the foam clings better to "unhairy" skin). Just know that wearing tight panties or girdles over your pantyhose--if you happen to be a panty-over-hose type, like I am--will reduce or minimize the effect. If you must wear some sort of panties or shapewear over your pantyhose, just make sure they're not too tight.
Pencil skirts are great--especially if you have the butt for it. I own several different types and I find that the stretchy ones are less hobbling, giving me a greater freedom of movement. Of course, if being hobbled is your goal, well... that's another story.
Again, it's great to see you here again, Tea-Cake. Catch you soon!
Love,
CJ

I love Pencil skirts. I to use foam pads for shape and a waist nipper too,
Have bought pencil skirts and regular stores. Most of mine our Knee length.
I do have one ankle length. Some pencil skirts have a zipper on the back slit which one can zip down as far as you like. I prefer to have the back slit zipped closed.

i've found four at Ross Dress for Less and the prices were terrific.
i don't buy to fit my male form since i'm too wide in the shoulders so for proportion i bought the Classic Curves hip and butt inserts...they work great inside pantyhose as well but they work best under an open bottom girdle.
....i have to agree that the look is to die for! i just love the rockabilly look too as well as the 50's full-skirt with pettis look but i haven't gone there yet.
been too busy with sheath dresses and form fitting skirts these days.
besides i have to leave a look to pursue in the future or what will i have to do with myself? HA!
