Would you rather be a woman?

I am a long tme crossdresser and enjoy all things feminine. I enjoy myself and love to emulate women. I have often thought, if I could have had the choice of being born a woman instead of a man, what would my choice have been. Not an easy decision if you really think about it. My choice would have been to be born a woman; am interested in hearing what you all have to say on this subject.

A lot of us have felt that way Sara, myself included and if 40 years ago the information we have now was available ( and I had the money ) I probably would have opted for SRS.
But at this stage in life I would settle for living my life as a woman 24 / 7 if I didn't have to be concerned with employment, friends and family. So I will just enjoy the time I get to be who I truely feel I should be and hope that the day will come that I won't have to hide my feminine personna from anyone.
So enjoy your feelings and dreams in this matter and live your life to the fullest.

No not really, I see all the problems my wife has had in her life (female an all).
Me since I have opening dress since I was 14 I am happy being who and what I am. But I do wish I could go full time but not in the cards as of yet.

Absolutely not. For me crossdressing is a male thing and not an expression of an inner woman. It is having fun with acting a bit like something I am not, and crossdressing as a woman (wearing mens clothing) would probably be very boring. But far more importantly, I am a male. I like what I am. And I have lots of male personality traits and probably wouldn't enjoy being a woman. Might even want SRS to put me back to being male.

On the other hand there are feminine traits I really admire. Not the delicate/vulnerable/sexy ones but the ones we see in mature women. The ability to endure far more hardship and turmoil than men, and the strength hiding underneath all that supposed vulnerability.

Even if I could be 100% woman, I wouldn't. For me crossdressing isn't about being female (though I'd like breasts to fill out those sagging shirts of mine), it's about wearing the clothes that I want to wear and that I feel most comfortable in.

Being bi-gendered it is difficult to answer this.I honestly dont know what it is like to be only one gender and only have one set of emotions to draw from.I would imagine that if my gender remained as it is ,it wouldnt really matter which body I was born in.I guess if i was born a woman I could have saved a few dollars on breast forms.

Only for a few days to a week. Gals have to go through a lot of dodo that us guys do not have to. Besides I enjoy being a guy. Grass is not always greener on the other side. It only look like it.

No question at all in my mind. Given the choice I would have been born female. I don't think women have life easier, and I do believe in some ways their life is more difficult, particularly if they want to be considered an equal as in a working environment.

No, I simply view women as more beautiful in all respects. I would have loved being a woman.

I think about that more and more as I get older. The thought of making love to a man is a real turn off for me; therefore I wish I could dress as a woman all the time and just be a man when I need to be one. I see the problems my wife has as a woman sometimes and how I get results when I intervene because I'm a male and not a very patient one. Maybe I'd be one tough female?

I most likely would not have been successful as a life long woman.

I'd have peferred to be born female, no question. Have to say, though, that I have no great dissatisfaction with who I am today. The gender tension has been relieved, and places like this, people like you have made peace possible. Cheers!

As a pre-op M2F who has lived and worked as a female for over 5 years now I have to tell all of you life as a female is not only different that that as a male obviously but also harder in my opinion. Equality has not reached females regardless of what people and the government say. Men still look down at us in many situations, that is unless they are staring at our chests. Just try taking your car in for service or go shopping for a major appliance or even furniture if you don't believe me!

In addition to being harder it is a lot more expensive. Make-up doesn't come cheap and when you work as a waitress as I do try going through a pair of support pantyhose every other day if you are lucky! Good shoes are expensive and unlike males we cannot get by with just a couple pairs of dress shoes and one pair of tennis shoes. Clothes do not last as long as well as they go out of style more easily for females.

If you have gotten tot his point and wonder why she continues on believe me I wouldn't trade a second of my life now for the world! If I have any regrets is that I waited so long to do it. Do I wish I had been born female? As one who has lived both sides my emphatic answer is YES!!
