I found a great brand pantyhose and they have become my preference. Sheer to waist, yet full support. I could wear these around the clock. Link provided.

To revive this thread with some advice:
I've been quite happy with thigh-his from Hanes (Silk Reflections). Largest size work nicely for me, coming up to the top of my thighs.
However, I found that after a few washings, the non-slip feature of the stocking tops is destroyed, and they slip down. Too bad, since the stockings themselves seem resistent to runs.
Hugs,
Lydia

I agree with you about the difficulty of finding gartered stockings, which I love. K-Mart used to sell very durable stockings as well, and their large size fit me very well. But they don't have them any more. Sears has some inexpensive stockings, but even thir largest size E is pretty small for me. Finding garterbelts or other gartered garments in a store is almost impossibleDanielle S wrote:Don't laugh, but I've found K-Mart ph and thigh-highs to be incredibly durable. They may not be the sheerest or sexiest, but they wear very well and don't seem to run as easily as more expensive brands. What I really wish is that more places (or even some places!) would carry stockings. I'm often a girdle or garter belt kind of girl.

Best pantyhose
I generally prefer pantyhose to thigh-hi's, and my current favorites are the Sears Nice Touch as well.
They use to have an issue (at least for me) of getting holes in the seams of the panties, but they must have fixed it because the past several pairs I have bought have lasted me a long time.
I like (or should I say LOVE) the medium support style. They feel fantastic. However, in my one and only photo in the Photo Gallery, I was wearing them and they kinda look like granny hose. Perhaps my next outing I will wear the light supports instead.
