I chose my name after meeting a girl named "Jamie" Maculine spelling, But I liked that name very much but I wanted some want of a femme sound so I went to a name service on the internet and found the french Name Jaimie which is either man or woman. I like Jaimie very much and I am thinking of having my name changed legally. Jaimiep

My parents let me know when I was young that they had considered naming me Robin. I think it was after Christopher Robin of the Pooh stories, thus not a female Robin. They said the reason they didn't was that the name might seem "too feminine."

Whoo ee.

So I have felt most at home naming myself Robyn, with the spelling changed to be more feminine ... and Katie for my first girlfriend, a tomboy and charmer who broke my heart, age 12.

Even so I keep having the feeling that there is a yet other femme name lurking around the corner that is even more truly me ... but I don't yet know what it is. Do others also feel that way? (Names are so powerful.)

Robin Katie,

I know very well what you mean, as I feel the same way about myself.

An ex-girlfriend and I decided on it. I think it fits me pretty well. It's a bit intellectual and effectual. I'm not sure how a name can be effectual but it really is. It's more me than my male name.

Hello everyone, actually I came up with two names, one Danielle, and the other you know as Curridel, Danielles' name came from a charm, so I stuck to that for a while. Curridels' name, well I just moved to the Delaware area and had a curiosity of how many CDers there were here, so intuitively I chose Curridel, something different. Now I wondering which sounds better. Maybe you all could give me some feedback.

Ahh, well I reckon you could get different answers on that, but what matters is what you are happy with. And as you probably know, it's a woman's perogative to change her mind if she wants to.

When I was trying to find a name I thought about the fem of my given name and decided that I really didn't like it. I ended up useing the name my Dad called me and the name of a good friend as part of my name (Lee) and adding a little to it so there wouldn't be any confusion when I would happen to be in a group she was in. Marie just sounded good to me to put with it. So it is Leeza Marie

I have always been Stephanie. Going back as long as I can remember into my childhood. The Browine Troop and than Girl Scout Troop that my sisters belonged to and my mom was the leader all called me Stephanie. So, I have never considered having a different name.

Once, when I was a child, I asked my mother what my name would have been if I'd been born a girl, and she told me it probably would have been Sharon. As it happened, I loved that name, and throughout my teen years, I often thought of myself as Sharon when dressed en femme. Then, for several years, I worked with a woman by that name who created a lot of problems in our department, and I developed a dislike for her that was so intense it ruined the name for me.

Then, I remembered the old TV show, "Happy Days", and the fact that Richie Cunningham's younger sister was played by Erin Moran. I was struck by how pretty a name it was, and I decided that had to be me.
I'm not that kind of girl.

How I picked my name

Post by Jennifer M. Hanes »

Well when I first started dressing I had a bf who named me " Tina Marie ". After we broke up, I didn't want have anything to remember that name anymore. When I went back to dressing 5 years ago I was trying to think of a name that meant " sexual but seductive ". So I picked Jennifer because Jennifer Aniston was popular and Jenna for Jenna Jameison. The " Marie " part stayed and I thought it was just perfect all together.
Thank you for hearing me out and take care.
