Hi ladies,
I'm new to dressing up.....not that i didn't know, however, i bought some lipostick love the color looked really goood, but when i tried to take if off i swear i slmost took my lip off Is there something i need to use for the lipstick to come off easier or is there a brand that is better?
A lot of the manufacturers are making long-wear lip colors. Revlon's Colorstay and Cover Girl's Outlast are two examples. The color does wear off eventually, through the course of eating, drinking, etc. It will wear off if you wear it longer than the specified 6-8 hours. If you're not going to be wearing it that long, start with an oil-based makeup remover. I then follow up with facial cleansing wipes. These usually take care of the traces left by the other stuff.
The other alternative is to stick with traditional lipsticks, the kind that come off with the slightest touch. I know some girls who like having to freshen their makeup all the time, but I'm not one of them.

I evidently don't have any of the long lasting kind. (However, it does transfer very nicely - sorry, that's another story! )
As Jaye said you can buy make-up remover specifically for eyes and lips. Of course Ponds Cold Cream works great for me and you might also try Johnson's baby oil. I have had good luck with baby oil as well.

before applying make-up it is a good idea to apply some sort of skin softener/hydrator to the skin. this both softens the skin and makes the application of make-up easier with better blending results. you can use the same thing on your lips and it will help when you remove your lipstick since it won't have been applied to dry absorbant lips. there are some speciality items available expressly for lips and eye-lids but some cold cream will work fine if you let it absorb a while before applying your make-up and lipstick.
