Off to Key West

We're leaving in the morning so you'll be spared my posts for a week. Hoping to spend the entire week enfemme, but can't figure out the diving aspect...such as hair issues. Going to the dry Tortugas (Ft Jefferson) its a 4 hour boat trip each way, but I love history and its a dream for me to go there. Dr Mudd was imprisoned there after the Lincoln assasination. Its gonna be so great..and shopping!!!!!! And walks on the beach...and Corona beer. Plus its been cold here in Ft Lauderdale...50 the other night...so I gotta go south.

You poor thing. 50 degress is brutal. Don't worry about your hair. I'll overnight my autographed Ester William's bathing cap for you Hon. I have to go. I forgot Marley is out on the deck and his tongue is frozen to my stripper pole. Hugs.

Been there done that!!!!!

Well, Virgnia did not go skin diving but seems her alter-ego did and it was great. Even saw a shark and a big green turtle and all kinds of colorful fish! You are becoming a staple in KW. If anyone asks, tell them Virginia says hello and I am looking forward to my next trip, hopefully with you this time!!!

Wow, DeeDee, that's great. Just going to Key West will be a big deal for me, someday. Spending the whole week enfemme--well, that's icing on the cake.

I'd love to take the Overseas highway down there, and look at some of the old railroad causeway that they've kept off to one side of the new highway.

Quick update from Key West....its been terrible...6 days so far as DeeDee, including a 5 hr roundtrip boat trip to the Dry Tortugas. Its not all dresses and skirts, lots of casual attire depending on what ya do. Plus no diving since the water temp is 75 BRRRRRRR. Thats all for now.

Don't complain too Much.

Was in Lakeland a couple of weeks ago for almost 2 weeks.

While the days were not bad the nights were way too cool, in the Low to mid 30's BRRRRRRRR

Well, its over

Seven days as DeeDee and back to work now. I have to admit I have a new respect for all you GGs out there...its not easy doing all that girl stuff every day....but I loved it. Checked into the hotel on Saturday as Dee and the reservation was a little messed up, so got upgraded to an ocean-front room for my cheapo rate..hated that. First night, we walked Duval St and they had their Christmas parade, an unexpected fun thing. Sunday we just wandered around and both of us had a maincure and pedicure which I had to touch up all week. Ahhh..the dining and shopping......but ya have to do the tourist thing also. Tues was the big trip to Ft Jefferson...2 1/2 hours on a boat each way. Now, there you have to have a bit of nerve being trapped in a cabin with 40 folks. But I had some nice conversations with a lot of people and nothing to do with T stuff. Funny, it was like I was just a person to them. Key West is unique, of course, but I was soooo totally comfortable..and we were always adressed as "ladies" or "girls". We didn't take a lot of pics of me...mostly of neat other stuff....guess my vanity is wearing off

The rest of the week we just went to some night spots, wandered around and plain had fun. And yes, I did get to wear lots of dresses, but found that casual attire works better for day-time stuff...I keep learning

My SO was a sweety and we both enjoyed it so much...KW is a total T getaway. So, back to earth for now, but I always said I don't want to be on my deathbed wishing I had done.....so I do it now

I've come a long way since my first post here years ago and love you all for helping me get where I am!!!! And for any who have never been out, but want to....that was me for ages. I wish all you the happiness I have now and grab the ring, ya only go around once!

So glad that you had a great time DEE DEE, but now you are back to the life of reality,

Know fully, how hard it is go go back to being Drab after a vacation. I had the same problem , only thing is that I was away for a whole month.

As you say, I too have great respect for the GG;s having to do the lady thing every morning , but, " My is it not WORTH it "

I too found that being casual during the day was a big advantage and made going some places much easier, but guess this Old Gal being a little old fashioned, When i went out for Dinner ro to some place special, always feel more comfortable in a Dress or Skirt.

My only wish is that next time you go, that you can have twice as much time and fun as Dee Dee
