Michelle Obama's Gown

Post by Jennifer »

How could anyone not have noticed the gown Michelle Obama wore for the Inaugural Ball. I thought is was very classy but what struck me the most was she chose a 26 year old no name designer when she could have had any of the internationally renowned designers put another feather in their cap. Good on her! =D>

Personally, it didn't work for me. Reminded me of a bedspread my mom once had.

But it was cool to hear who the designer was.

The one thing that stood out for me were those hideous shoes she wore during the swearing in ceremony.

I liked the thought of using a new comer in the industry, but did not like the dress nor the evening gown. Being a big woman, she needs to dress in more conservative theme. Maybe with Mrs. Clinton as SoS, she will give her a little assistance

Oh, I sincerely hope not . . . Hillary dresses way too manly, IMHO. [-(

Silverlady:
I was attemting to get the message across to be with less noise, more sedate. The yellow for me was had too much noise and took away from the woman. The same with the single shoulder dress.

I thought her swearing in outfit was appropriate and pretty. She got kudos on her shoes from one of the fashion gurus on one of those cable gossip shows I watched. I'm not sure how I feel about the ball gown, but I loved that they chose Etta James' "At Last" for their dance together. Etta James gets me right where I live, every time. _P
