Makeover & Hair style

Post by Joann NJ »

Ladies, I have to tell you about a totally awesome experience I had the other day. I was supposed to go for a makeover up in PA. The weather report turned bad and I had to cancel. Well, I was able to squeeze in a makeover here in NJ before the front came in. Well, let me tell you, if you ever get the chance to have a professional makeover, DO IT!!! I feel pretty good about my presentation, but after Tuesday's makeover, I left the studio on cloud nine with the attitude that no one could read me in a million years. mind you, I'm a big girl, but with lady Ellen's help, I felt great. No coat to hide under, driving in daylight, and having the best enfemme day I can imagine. It was great, if you can, get one, it's worth just the tips and tricks..... Joann

Hi Joann,
I'm really glad to hear you were able to get a makeover. I've often wanted to have one done (and then a professional manicure/pedicure!) I just can't seem to find the time to do it. Kudos to you and your wonderful day out en femme. =D>

Did you just pick one out or was it recommended by someone else?

Would love to get a makeover, or at least a nice manicure and pedicure. I often thought about a trip somewhere, so I could release my fem side without fears of seeing someone who I know. Maybe soon.

Gwen, it's all up to you......... I have a manicure a few times to get comfortable with a shop and look for the same tech. Clear nail polish is not really that noticeable, and you can swipe it off in seconds { but don't do it, tough it out! } Then, my first pedicure was cool, as you're in the femme zone now..... after a couple times, get the pink french!!!!!!!!

Getting a Pro makeover is one of the things I have not done yet but plan to do.
Once a month I get a pedicure, manicure, fill, toe nail polish, nail polish, and my eyebrows waxed. I always get a bright Red or Pink on my toes and a Pink or salmon color on my nails. My nails extend past the tips of my fingures too. Most people will not even notice that your wearing nail polish if you keep it suttle. Only once did I ever have another person notice my nails. We were in the Bank standing in line when this older lady noticed my nails. She commented on how nice they looked. She then took my hand, held it up, showed her husband, and said to him, "See some men do keep thier nails nice". I felt both embarrest and thrilled at the same time. Boy did I get the dagger look from her husband. Wife thought it was funny. She giggled all the way home.

I'm sure I would enjoy to the fullest being able to go to a shop and have a manicure. I just love it when someone does their magic on me. Even when I go to get a (male) hair cut, I just about melt and almost fall asleep in the chair. It just feels so good. My s/o is fortunate in that she doesn't require very much makeup at all, thus she really doesn't know much more beyond what she does for herself. I've asked her to do me some times and she admits that it won't be all that good. But the few times she has made me up, it just felt so nice. Now as for a pedicure, well, I usually leave that to myself. I have (been told) nice shapely legs and slender toes, but ugly toe nails. They are thick and some grow weird. Sorry girls for that picture. I suppose my hands make up for my toes short comings. I can cover up the toes but the hands!

Joann

I fully endorse your recommendation about a makeover

What a difference it made for me. I learned a LOT and I am now happy about going out as Susan.

I don't think I would wear a mini skirt as in one of my photos but its all part of the fun.

Well I can't say much about hair styles as all mine are on styrofoam heads all over the bedroom.

As for make-overs, if you need help, one suggestion is Merle Norman. Call first and ask for the manager, then ask if they work with (your choice of self-description) TG, TS, CD. If they do ask if there is a time that they would be comfortable with you coming in and then you also have to decide if you want to go "en drab" or dressed. They will do the make-over usually for free, but they DO EXPECT you to purchase some of what they recommend.

As for nails, well mine come in a box and a bit of glue and volei! Must me something in my diet as I could probably remove deck screws with my thumb nails but my finger nails just will not grow without splitting, so Revlon nails and I do quite well thank you!

Ain't it great!

Makeovers are great, but for special events (for me). Hair-wise, its wigs 'cause that male pattern baldness thing got me and I envy those who can style their own hair. BTW, some girls I know don't have that problem...seems if you take hormones early enough, it stops the MPB. Oh well. But a pedicure and manicure....swooooon. So many things can be said here about beauty stuff...my biggest was facial laser and love the results!!!!! Just had my first facial at a salon also and it was great! Its kinda tough to catch up on what GGs have been doing since teenage years, but I'm trying  BTW Virginia...didn't have a makeover for Lips, that was kinda me
