Veronica, I also occasionally have had the similar look and experience. I just either allow their brains to adjust or continue the conversation often asking some question. Most after the quick adjustment just treat me like their average customer. Some do continue to have the look of disbelief the whole time but still treat me professionally.

I am a physically male person that likes to wear feminine clothes at times.
Just trying keep a balance for my self along with keeping my wife and kids in mind.

I find that time of day makes a big difference. If you go during rush hour when the place is full of GGs you aren't going to get a warm welcome. Be considerate of their needs and they are usually considerate of yours. That way you can both have fun.
