Sorry Susan. - Getting back to shoes though I just love tottering around the house on my 3" heels, wife laughs at me when I do it but I am getting better and if I ever go out then I will be an expert. Stairs are fun too, coming up them is easy but I go down them sideways ever aware of the shock it would give the ambulance crew who would have to pick me up if I tumbled and measured my length in them, J would be unable to help me as I am sure she would be in fits! I have a lovely pair of 4" heeled shoes too but they are just for show as when I wobble about in those I bang my head on the door openings. I do have some really nice flat sandals but they ain't as much fun as stilettos. Kay

I love heels, but getting older and have to find ones that fit perfect! 2" heels are an all day height, but prefer sandals anymore (can wear them here in Fla). Comfort is huge for me, especially if out all day. Still wear some 3" ones for special events IF I know theres not a lot of walking. Don't get old girls

Heels are great. Even if i haven't worn for a while, it feels natural to walk in them. I like 3-4 inch heels. I find now, i automatically walk with a little wiggle when they are on.
I am 6' 3" in stocking feet and I wear 3 & 4 inch heels all the time when I go out. It is kinda like pants vs skirts, I can wear sandals/pants any time.
I rememder my first ime out in heels, 4 inch pumps. Like a lot of you it was Halloween. Long story short After the ladies did my make up and we went out for a bit one or to of them commented on how well I walked in heels for my first time,LOL, and became a bit more suppicious when I answered "no" to the question did my feet hurt. But nothing was said, not even question of where, or why I had shoes big enough to fit. Ladies size 15.

I started out with a 2 1/2 inch heel. I have 6 pair now ranging from 2 1/2 to 5 inch heels. I can walk fine in them. It's standing still and trying to balance in them that is hard for me.
I never go out dressed without heels although 3"-3 1/2" is my everyday limit with those heels on I stand 6'2" and haven't got any strange looks or comments.
However during a weak moment I bought a pair of 5" black patent knee high boots and once in a while I'm brave enough to wear them round the house when I'm alone.
I prefer 3 inches, the taller ones seem somewhat unnatural. I have no problems with heels that high but the shape of the shoe might cause some troubles with walking with them for long periods. There are also huge differencies, some seem to feel even better than flats and some are a sheer nightmire.
Just a thought about heels. Its actually about uhmmm since our feet are bigger or longer we end up wearing bigger sizes right, and they are visibly long... but when you think about it, the higher the heel is, in a way since its angled, your shoe or feet will look a bit less long. earlier, I actually saw someone who wore some erally high heels and its covered by pants as in the tip was almost on the floor, and her feet looks like puny small coz of this effect. well just a thought
hohoohho ever since i wore heels i never got a flat ever again hohoho
