Curly my family and I spent several summers with my maternal grandmother in the North Woods when I was a child. Northern Minnesota as opposed to Michigan but I remember it as a wonderful place and it has many happy memories for me. Of course bird sized mosquitoes and 6 inch long leeches were not among the pleasant memories but nothing is perfect now is it. I guess on my bucket list would be going back to visit the place. Most of the very small human population in the area consists of 3rd and 4th cousins although I really have no idea who any of them are.

Absaroka...I'd forgotten about the mosquitoes!...I got covered in bites !!arg!!

I remember some very annoying biting flies too...as me and my cousin tried to sunbathe on a platoon on the lake! We had great fun using all the swear words under the sun as we swiped them off  How I'd love to be there again

Curly,
Tell you what, you and Honor come here and I will put you on the back of my Honda VTX 1800 and take you down the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is nothing like seeing it from a motorcycle. We get close enough to the deer to reach out and pet them.

We need a "bucket list" thread which I may just start, so ladies put on your thinking caps and lets hold it to no more than 10 things!

Love ya all,

Virginia

Hi all,

Yeah, Curly, you're right about both your memories of Montreal; most signs are in French and the VIA Rail station is, in fact, underground, right smack dab in the heart of the city.

Once you've scraped off the mud from your clothes after Virginia's allowed you to get off the VTX, be sure to ring me up for a meeting in southern Quebec. My dad lives about a fifteen minute drive from the Vermont border, and I'm only just an hour and a half further north and west from there. We could show you the Eastern Townships, just north of Vermont and give you a grand tour of Montreal which, along with London, Paris, Milan, and New York, is considered one of the fashion capitals of the world. Bring a credit card or five.

Love,
CJ

Curly if all you were worried about in the lake were the flies then I guess the leeches weren't that bad. Although the flies can be really bad, so I guess I shouldn't say that.

Funny what you can get used to. The leeches really freaked me out. But my mom as a girl bathed in the lake every week during the warm weather and really didn't worry about them. After she had rinsed the soap off she would remove any leeches and that was it. She didn't seem to mind the mosquitoes that much either. On the other hand she absolutely hated both really hot and really cold weather, of which they had both in great abundance.

Hi all,

Well, my nipple rings are now a year old. There are some here who were curious to see (you voyeurs, you! :P ) so I created a new album on my gallery to show them off. A word of warning: you will see my breasts. Some of you may not survive the ordeal. Please keep in mind... they're just breasts (albeit ones ready for a "Bro"). And, no, absolutely not; I do not take hormones of any kind.

Seeing as I shaved and dressed today for the first time in ages, I thought it would be a good opportunity to show off my gams while I was at it. Okay, so I'm no Betty Grable in the leg department, but I think mine look just fine the way they are.

You won't see my face simply because, although I shaved, I never had the time to apply makeup (or don a wig). The resulting androgynous look was a little too bizarre for even my own tastes. Sorry.

Roxanne just walked in an hour ago from work only to find me decked out in all my finery and wearing my heels. She kissed me and gave me a great big hug. It felt good. One of these days, I'll surprise her with the whole "CJ package"--wig, jewelry, makeup, and nails included.

To Jadeanne:

Although I tried to keep my uploads fairly tasteful, some members (or Mods or Admins) may consider this or that shot to be too racy for the forum. If need be, just delete those photos you think are inappropriate. I will not be sore. I promise.

Love,
CJ

Hi, CJ -

Well, I'm glad that you were able to get at least partially dressed, and I'm really glad about Roxanne's acceptance . . . but it appears that you may have been blinded by the Pink Fog?!?

Sorry, hon, but I've had to delete all 18 of your photos for a variety of reasons, starting with the fact that your photo gallery was already at the 25 photo limit before you uploaded new photos. #-o

If you call me in the middle of the night to complain, I'll verbally slap you silly. Well, I think you would rather that I answered the phone . . . you don't want to deal with a sleepy Virginia, do you?!? 8-[

Love you anyway, girfriend!

Now that, SilverLady, is a distinct possibility. It's been too damned long since I last dressed. Still, that doesn't change the forum rules, now, does it? Heh. Consider me slapped.

WOW! Don't know how I missed this post. Lots of answers generated too.
I recently turned 62. But I have noticed that more often then not, younger people open or hold the door open for me, both male and female. I still have hope for the younger generation. I feel good about that. But it sure makes one sit up and realize we're not as young as we maybe thought, and it's true. Like my daddy used to tell my mom, "seems it takes me all day to do what I used to do all day".
Hugs,

Gosh darn Site Admins... they take the fun outta all the good stuff!

In my hiatus, I missed this lil snippet.

CJ, since having your nips done, have you had any regrets about it? I guess what I"m wondering is, if you feel that it was too impulsive.
I've had a few rogue moments when I wanted to have a little ink done and later I was glad that I didn't.

I wuz jus' wonderin...

Hi all,

Kyra,

No, I'm super satisfied with the nipple rings. They're a hoot (and I'm sure there's a pun in there somewhere). I have not once regretted getting them. On the other hand, the slightly curvy "cupid's arrows" I had to wear for a few weeks before getting the actual rings were a bit of a problem if I chose to wear a lacy bra. Solution? I simply refrained from wearing a lacy bra until the arrows came out and the rings went in.

Speaking of tats, I have an appointment at the same shop that gave me the rings for a tattoo consultation at the end of this month. I'm bringing my own design, a drawing I made almost two decades ago and with which I've toyed over the years in order to perfect. It's a tribal-style dragon (almost abstract, really) seen from the waist up, facing the viewer, with her head turned to the right, in profile, and carrying in her claws a shield inscribed with the symbols of the world's major religions, her wings curved around the shield. I'd get the tat done at the base of my spine. I picture it as being not much larger than my outstreched fingers when I join my hands at the wrist. To be inked in colour, natch. I dread the quote; my budget is limited. But I've been thinking about this for years on end now and, well, I'm certainly not getting any younger. You think I should tell Roxanne about my plans for this tat? :P

About the deleted photo album (and as Leeza will no doubt testify), the pix weren't much more than some artsy-fartsy attempt at vintage style "gam glam." Not much to write home about. But SilverLady is right in calling me on the "pink fog" thing and the photos did contravene the gallery rules. Heh. I can be such a bad girl, sometimes.

Love,
CJ
