On TV, on tv. Three couples.

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

On TV, on tv. Three couples.

Post by Carolynn »

Hilary on another site posted this but without the name of the program. I will keep trying to find it. It was on today (4-16) on "SKY" which is one of the names of a program service, think. She is in Britain,

She wrote:
I'm watching a program on Sky called "Transvetite Wives". This is about 3 couples who have come to terms with the husband being a TV. They used the term 'Tranny' quiet often amongst themselves, but not offensively.

The first couple had been married for ages. The wife was concerned that hubby would 'become' transexual and then want to become female.

The second couple were not married. He had been a millionaire, but had lost his money, house and children visitation rights to his ex, who was also trying to get restraining orders on him not appearing dressed in public, even though they were divorced. His new partner loved him for his dressing.

Couple three were different again. She was American, who moved to the UK to marry and had divorced. She had met her new partner, and was now on the TV scene, offering advice on dressing, cosmetics etc.

All 3 couples said they did NOT wish to be female (quite happy peeing standing up!)

The first couple had had to fight their community who wished to get a compulsory purchase order on their house, and to force them out.

The second couple were doing quite well.

The husband in the third couple had a job in heavy engineering in a Northern English town - his work colleaques did not know.

All in all, the program was well done, and presented TV people in a good light. It showed that TV people suffer much the same fears and prejudice that we do, from families and communities. Possibly the TS community may even be pavig the way, unwittingly, fot TV rights
"
If anyone knows this program maybe it would be something that LOGO could run?

Transvestite Wives Video

Post by Connie »

Carolynn,

I don't know if it is the name but there is a series of videos on Youtube with the name "Transvestite 'Wives'". It's in 5 parts and looks to be about 45 minutes total.

Here is a link, I hope, to the playlist with all 5 parts. Transvestite Wives

Hello Connie. That's the one! Thank you for the information and the link. Guess you can find anything on Utube, huh.

Thank you Carolynn and Connie for the info on Transvestite Wives. I enjoyed it. Wish I had one that was understanding or would at least discuss it. :(
