Being supportive

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Being supportive

Post by JoAnnDallas »

I was really proud of my wife last Saturday Evening. My Tri-Ess chapter had a shopping spree at a local clothing store and afterwards we all went to dinner. One of our new members had never been out in public dressed. At our last Tri-Ess meeting, my wife convinced her to join us last Saturday evening. Well she came dressed and when she arrived, my wife walked up, huged her, and told her, "See no one notices or cares how your dressed. Just relax and enjoy the evening". My wife even convinced her to come to dinner with us afterwards. As the evening went on, I too could see the new girl relax and really enjoy herself.

My wife has gone from unkowning, to tolerant, to supportive in the last few years. IMHO what happen last Saturday evening is what being supportive is all about. Not just supportive to me but supportive to all Trans persons.

Hi JoAnn,

That kind of acceptance of a person for who and what she is is what we all seek and so rarely find.

Your wife is smart, kind, and an angel. Hooray for her!

Love, Robyn Katie
